“Back Alley is my favorite shop at my favorite beach. Its usually an every day stop while we're staying on the island. The coffee is always fantastic and I find the best souvenirs there. I especially love drinking coffee from my Back Alley Insulated cup at home because it reminds me of my happy place when I cant be there. Today was a fantastic day because I got to visit Back Alley! It was our first time in since all the storm damage and the place looks even more beautiful than it did before!“

We ordered fried oysters, French fries, and cheese grits, and everything was absolutely delicious. The oysters were fried to perfection, crispy on the outside yet tender and flavorful inside. The cheese grits were just the way I like them—nice and thick—and the fries were a great complement to the meal. Even better, our food arrived quickly and fresh. Our waitress, Lilly, was fantastic, providing friendly and attentive service. We also appreciated how the rest of the staff greeted us warmly as we walked through the restaurant. “Just visiting this week from up North and I was looking for a Mexican place for lunch that had good vegetarian options. I was very pleased to see that they offered tempeh as one of the protein choices. The staff was very kind and took great care making the food. I ordered a burrito and they made the tortilla in a tortilla press which was outstanding. I also ordered the chips with a side of guacamole and they made the chips right in front of us. Truly one of the best burritos I've ever had.“
