Wonderful! Fun good food
We had a reservation for Monday night at 9:30 PM and received a call that they would be closing early due to inclement weather. We quickly headed over to see if we could still get in, and we’re so glad we did.

Based on the reviews, 3030 Ocean Restaurant serves excellent food with creative interpretations of elegant classics. Specific meals include a Wagyu steak in a cocoa and espresso rub, beet pappardelle pasta in goat cheese cream sauce, scallops with a butternut squash sauce, and a Pistachio Cheesecake that was breathtaking. The Al Pastor cocktail sauce with the shrimp cocktail was the best ever had, and the octopus with a custom sauce and chimichurri was a flavor explosion. The food is on par with the best versions, though the place is pretty expensive. However, the experience is inconsistent. The dining room lights went on and off repeatedly, and the table next to guests remained dirty long after they left. The noise level from the adjacent bar is a real problem, and the hostess was not at all welcoming, walking every guest to their table wearing a permanent scowl. Servers are usually attentive and responsive, but one waiter was harried and had no explanation for the lights. Despite these issues, the staff and the food and the ambiance can be magical, making it a good option for a business night out, a formal night out, or a celebratory one.
