“Motor City Coney Island Ft Myers 3-25-25 We had to stop by here on a Tuesday for their special priced Coney Island Hot Dog at $2.99. We arrived there at 11:37 with just a couple tables with customers at them, but the place was not packed. This place was neat and very clean with everything in order. I loved the interior, the little bar area and Patio out front. Let me start by saying my expectations were not set high as I figured I’m going to review a place that just serves hot dogs. Boy was I wrong! This place exceeded all my expectations by a mile and then some. They serve so much more than Hot Dogs; they serve Breakfast all day, they have all kinds of Salads, Wraps, Melts, Pittas, Clubs, Gyros, Burgers, Fish and serve Beer and limited Alcohol. They will even Cater events for you. I ordered the Original Coney which had Chillie, Onion & Mustard. My wife Ordered the Tuna Wrap. Our friend ordered the Chili Cheese Dog which came with Chili and Cheese Sauce. We all ordered a side of Fries with our main orders. Our food came out a short time later and it looked amazing. I could not believe how good our food was. Our Dogs were piled high with toppings. This was by far the best Hot dog I had in this area. My wife’s Tuna wrap was very good and so big she could not eat the entire wrap. Our friend loved his Chili Cheese dog. All our food was hot and plenty of it even the Fries were good. Our waiter Freddy was spot on with checking on us. We even met one of the owners Armando which took the time out to introduce himself. You must put this place on your Must Stop By List you will not be sorry and certainly stop back just like we are going to do. “Went to this little gem twice in two days. After having the most delicious pumpkin ravioli and side salad. Other diners enjoyed soups, salads, mahi tacos, truffle fries and Mediterranean wrap. Everyone encountered here was friendly and helpful with guiding us with our orders. They have a decent beer and wine selection for a small place (if that’s a priority) to accompany your meal. We will definitely put this on our must visit list each trip to the Ft Myers area.“

“Visited from southern Delaware over Thanksgiving. Wasn't sure where to eat Thanksgiving dinner, so Googled and Mel's Diner was serving it. Called to make a reservation, but they were booked. Was told they were accepting walk-ins, call on our way and they'd put us on the list. Was able to get seated right away, party of 2! I had the turkey dinner and my beau had ham dinner... delicious, just like home. Our server (Cody?) was lovely and the owner took the time to check on us. It's no wonder Mel's has great reviews. As a lifelong foodie who usually cooks high-end meals at home, I was genuinely impressed. Some of the negative reviews I’d seen beforehand now seem baffling — this place exceeded expectations across the board.

The food was outstanding. The beer-battered shrimp were the best I’ve ever had — light, crispy, and flavorful. The wings were excellent, and my wife loved her smoked pulled pork sandwich. Their signature fresh gator was also a standout. First-timers: go for the virgin breaded version — it’s far more tender and crispy than the flavored options.

Prices are very fair, especially considering the quality. The cocktails are strong and well-made, and their house IPA, Reef Donkey, was a surprise hit — easily the best IPA I’ve had.

Despite being a sports bar-style venue, it’s spotlessly clean, welcoming, and delicious. It’s a little off the beaten path, but absolutely worth the effort to find. We’ll definitely be back.“

“Stopped in for breakfast at Fallow Street Grill and it was absolutely fantastic. The food had that home-style flavor that’s getting harder to find these days — it honestly reminded me of the late 90s in the best way possible.

The service was quick, friendly, and genuine. You can tell the staff actually care about their customers and take pride in what they do. The atmosphere had great energy — warm, relaxed, good vibes.

“Another one of those little Gems. Found it this week. Needed a nice place for our 4th Anniversary Dinner:
Called and made a reservation[Recommended] and we arrived at 17:30.was greeted and served Bread. The bread alone was exceptional.
I ordered the Rack of Lamb, my wife had the Pork Chop.
I must say, outside my own Kitchen, this was “The Best” Lamb I have ever had! Succulent, Tender, and cooked perfectly. The Pork Chop was also very good, probably the Tenderest I’ve ever tasted.
The servers here are what you would expect at a Four Star Restaurant.

I think it could have been a lot better with a little extra salt but it was difficult to get the servers attention. We ordered lasagna, spaghetti with meatballs, scallops with risotto, Caprese salad, warm bread, cheesecake, and homemade Key lime pie. The lasagna was, as always, delicious and served in a generous portion. The spaghetti came with impressively large meatballs—definitely enough to share—and was packed with flavor. The scallops were cooked to perfection, and the risotto was wonderfully creamy. The cheesecake however lacked flavor, but the homemade key lime pie was amazing! It was a fantastic meal in a charming setting—truly a wonderful evening!“

Everything has been delicious and high quality from the quesadillas to Cali and pesto chicken sandwiches to the chicken Milanese. Their croissants and salami taste like I’m in Europe! Staff is full of great people from diverse backgrounds. All are super polite and friendly and make you feel like you’re VIP. Food comes out very fast and the view is amazing whether you’re sitting inside or outside.“

“I ordered a concrete mixer, but it took about 10–15 minutes to receive it because the employee who prepared it had placed it out of sight, and Kayla—I believe was the manager or GM—didn’t notice it. By the time she realized, the mixer had already melted. When I returned and asked Kayla if she could remake it, she immediately handled the situation with professionalism and a friendly attitude.

What impressed me most was her ability to communicate why the mixer needed to be remade while keeping her composure, even as she balanced multiple tasks at once. I wanted to point out her skill for leadership and customer care.“

“I was not a fan & I went back to tell them. I met Ashley (a manager who'd been sent here to fix the problems) she convinced me to come back & let them try again. So I went back for breakfast & I met Rodrigo who has turned out to be the best waiter I've met in this town. I had the best breakfast I've had since I moved here 6 years ago! More importantly, it turns out they have the best coffee in town! I went back again & brought a friend - guess what? Another great breakfast! Could these have been flukes? I went back for a third time with my family. Yet another flawless breakfast! Same restaurant, same Rodrigo, three excellent meals in a row with no complaints! Ashley whipped mornings into shape & now she's working on the rest. There stands a very good chance that this will become the restaurant we all hoped it would be. If you've eaten there & been disappointed I urge you to go back & try it again, I certainly will!“

“Last night, we ended up getting stuck in the storm coming back from the Sanibel causeway. Seeking shelter, we decided to dock next to this place. Soaking wet, asked if we could sit outside and order. I believe it was Sydney that was our waitress. (Had an English accent if that helps) Service was absolutely amazing.
