Our group of 4 stopped in for a late lunch yesterday on our way to Punta Gorda Airport. We had a great server, Beth, who was friendly & helpful. Our meals, chicken dumplings, chicken strip, & my fav, biscuits & sausage gravy, were all delicious! The only negative was trying to pay our bill & there was a return problem that had the Mgr & new worker tied up way too long. The manager finally took the 2 ladies ahead of me & I paid too.
Usually an easy good meal to pick up on the way home. A little disappointed this time with how everything was packaged especially the meal for later (saran wrap covering it). The quality of the food has slipped slightly over the past year that we have been doing take out at this restaurant. Still a great value and still a good meal, just less than before.

the country store is my favorite! love playing checkers and peg when we come, the food is a plus.. not many all day breakfast places left with good food and service. this cracker barrel is superior over others in the area I have been to.
