“Have you ever seen an unhappy whale? No. Ya know why? They eat deliciously, bask in the sun and are surrounded by their fun little pod. What's not to be happy about! The Whale is the place to come if you're looking to be surrounded by happy, carefree people who are just out here loving life. Both customers and staff...these people are living their best lives. It's the place to come if you're hungry, and even if you didn't know you were...once you get a whiff of the deliciousness wafting through the air, your belly will instantly put you on blast. And you'll be hooked, EVERYTHING is sooooo good. And it's even better with an iced-cold bevvie. Or two. Or seven. The Whale is always my first stop when in Fort Myers. Good thing I don't live there...I might turn into one!“
“Breakfast, lunch or dinner menu is available anytime during business hours. French dip with au jus sauce, tomato slice, pickles. Navy bean soup. I’ll give the soup 5 stars. Sandwich was hot, bread was fresh, just wish the meat had more flavor. Waitress was very efficient. Prices were reasonable.“
“Our group of 6 arrived at 6:30 on a Friday night. We got drinks from the bar as they told us of an hour wait; beautiful night so no problem. The crown royal on the rocks was a super generous pour- I'm from the Chicago area and usually get half the alcohol and charged a lot more so this was a welcome change. The server was top notch and somehow memorized all 6 orders and no mistakes when the food came. Orders included fried shrimp. white fish and shrimp tacos. Side dishes: steak fries, sweet potato fries, french fries and clam chowder. Everything was great. I was especially happy with the home made steak fries. I guess the cole slaw left a little to be desired. It was a great night with views of the marina as the day turned to evening. Glad that the Junkanoo is up and running even though I miss the one on the beach.“
“Amazing that they've re-opened after Ian. Limited menu, limited hours and alot of clean-up still going on. Locals should go down for lunch and support them. Tourists and snow birds need to realize it's going to be awhile before the FMB will be anything resembling a functioning tourist destination.“
“Great place with cold beer and very good food and service. All completely redone since the hurricane. We go several times during our winter stay here and everything is always good. We love sitting outside so we hope they get their tiki roof back up but they do have large umbrellas for shade. Tamra did a great job serving us today.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Level in and out“
“We visited Sunshine Beach Tropical Grill for dinner on 9/21/22. This place is amazing! The view and food were fantastic! Our server, Becky, was wonderful. She was friendly and attentive; she handled all of our endless requests and was super quick attending to us! Doug was also great! My only complaint would be the construction that is being done during dinner time. It takes away from the ambiance!“
“If we could give this place 10 stars just for the customer service, we would! The food and drinks were good, but Dianne really made the whole experience! She was especially great with all the kids at our table, brought us water bottles for the beach as we were leaving, and was all around incredibly attentive and had a wonderful attitude and was so sweet! Excellent service! We will be back just because of this!“
“On our trip to Fort Myers with Family my husband and I ate here twice, once just the two of us and then with our entire family group. Both were great stops with outside seating, great views of the bay to watch the pelicans, boats and wildlife. If you like coconut shrimp they have the best coconut shrimp I’ve ever had (I had them twice). Service was good on both occasions. If you want tap beer you’ll need to sit on the upper bar section.“
“Bell Tower location. Isabella the manager was outstanding! Not only did she handle hosting/seating but also took on a 20 top and numerous other tables..AT THE SAME TIME. Never frowned or got frustrated. It was a busy night with Smokin Aces playing and the entire staff crushed it! Food was also really good!! Will be back soon for certain.“
“Mahi sandwich was awesome. We were there for happy hour. 2 for 1 Margaritas on the rocks, wine was 2 for $8. Wife got crab cakes. She said they were so so. My friends got the happy hour special wings and clams. His wife got the Grouper dinner and loved it. They were really busy but we got a table right away and our server Wendy was spectacular!!“
“What a great little place to come to rub elbows with the locals! Tina the owner dedicated her time and efforts to everyone right after the hurricane and continues to provide a great place to go with sports, local music, karaoke on Friday, and sometimes has food for free! Otherwise no food at this establishment just free popcorn!! Friendly service with a smile with games to play and even win some money, shots, or a task to do!! You need to check it out, beer, wine and seltzers plus wine based liquor.“
“Really cute restaurant and bar. Food is pretty good. Service is decent. Our waitress was ok while serving us. After lunch, the girls went shopping and the boys went to the bar. The waitress came running into the bar right up to my husband, asking where the check was? She was pissed and frantic according to my husband. They told her they left it in cash at the table. She said she didn't see it and was very snappy with him. She immediately ran back outside and must of found the check cause she never came back. You think she would of come and let the guys know and thank them or apologize. The guys were a little upset about basically being accused of stealing.“
“Superb menu of very creative menu items that include fresh fish, shrimp, steak, or chicken. The setting is absolutely beautiful, next to the ocean and the resort pool. Service was friendly and attentive and prompt. Prices are reasonable. This was a very enjoyable sunset dinner. Excellent choice for a great dining experience.“
“Kudos to the staff and owners for taking a stand on smoking!! Thank you so much. Visited today and was beyond relieved to see the signs. Always a great place for us to bring family and friends. Food is awesome and the environment and ambiance is so fun. So happy about the recent changes and hoping that you consider not allowing dogs in your establishment. Today there was an actual dog sitting in a chair. Just there for 1.5 hours witnessed 5 dogs.“
“Was there the other day. The gal making the food really needs an attitude check. She mistook me for another customer, motioned me to grab my food didnt bother to call a name, when I questioned where part of my order was she proceeded to start yelling and giving me a hard time than got mad at me because she didn't bother to call for who's order it was just assumed it was mine. Other than that, great food, love Yo! Taco for being there, only than that one bad experience this week it is always a pleasure.“
“We arrived at 4:20 to avoid long waiting which happens here; no reservations accepted. Drinks came fast as did our appetizers of blackened grouper bites which were delicious. I tried Triple tail for the first time and I am hooked and can't wait to order again. Other dinners ordered were the mahi tacos and grouper tacos as well as the shrimp burger. Everyone was super satisfied with their meals. The music which started at 5:30 was also outstanding. We usually eat here one a season and it's always one of our top places to go.“
