“Las Carretas has been my go to restaurant in Gainesville for 2 years now! But this recent experience shows just how amazing the staff really is. Saturday I suspected I lost a diamond ring at one of the booths. I called Sunday and left my number in case something showed up. I wasn’t hopeful I’d be getting a call back. On Wednesday I got a call from Javi notifying me they found a ring. Turns out, It was my ring !! 😭🥹 I love the food, drinks, and atmosphere of this restaurant but the people who work here are truly great people. Thank you Las Carretas staff for being honest and amazing at what you do. 🫶🏼“

“a group of teenagers I was in town with wanted to go to PF Changs. I had never actually dined there. Food was great. Lots of great, healthy choices for those with special dietary needs. I'm a bit more traditional, usually choosing between two or three dishes. My choice was delicious, and out of all my usual haunts at home when we do Chinese, the most flavorful. I used to manage restaurants for many years before I switched careers, and have been slightly disappointed that some service standards seemed to have gone by the wayside. Still, our service was good, and our server was very efficient.“

“Absolutely amazing service! I came here for the second time and took my friend who had never been for his birthday. All the staff members were incredibly sweet, especially our waitress Jimmy Bynum. He was incredibly social and also very polite. They even brought out cookies and a candle for my friend’s birthday. Even better that we happened to come at the same time as Coach Spurrier for dinner. Overall great staff, amazing food, and great environment.“

“A little disappointed because I haven’t eaten here in a little over a year and today it was the worst meal I’ve eaten in a while. The pink sauce was watery and tasted absolutely horrendous, the pickles tasted like they were dumped in the box with a spoon of cooking oil, and if that wasn’t enough, the cashier didn’t even pay attention to what was ordered and instead thrown a “you never ordered that” remark. Whatever you changed, please fix it because I crave your food so much and it would be a shame not to come back because the quality was bad. Other than this ONE incident; big milks has been my favorite summertime spot for the past three years. On point until this one time but I have faith that big mills will get it fixed and back on track. Their fried pickles are my favorite combined with their ice cold sweet and tart frozen strawberry lemonade.“

“I ordered a pepperoni pizza and received a cheese. The delivery driver just left the pizza on the porch. No knocking or calling. I didn’t know it was out there. It was cold by the time I realized it was there. I get pizza from here all the time and it’s normally amazing. this was the worst“

“The gluten-free crust is something I’ve been missing for the 13 years I have been gluten-free. It is thick and flaky and absolutely delicious. I would love to know the recipe! I had Vegan cheese, spinach, tempeh and pepperoni. I was surprised they even had gluten-free pepperoni! It was the best pizza I have ever had and I just wish I lived in Gainesville so I could get it all the time! My only negative is that I wish they had more seating and more comfortable seating. I don’t usually like to sit outside to eat, but they do have a big area out back for that. Thanks again! When I come back to Gainesville in a few months, I will definitely be coming by!“

“Recommend the thin crust.... At their best, it's my favorite pizza in town. Unfortunately quality control is not flawless a little bit below par, so five star if you're listening tighten up on that or next time you'll get four stars LOL“

“East End Eatery is my favorite breakfast place in Gainesville! The best breakfast burrito in town! Always fresh veggies, gouda cheese grits that always satisfy, even a Florida native like me. Treat yourself to the best waffle in town. Crisp outside with light fluffy center. Not heavy at all. Real shrimp and grits worth the wait for cooked to order meal. The service is always friendly with a smile. The owner works all areas. She loves to meet customers. Hope you enjoy the experience as much as I do.“

“My husband and i have been eating five star pizza since we started dating almost 10 years ago and it’s hands down one of the best pizza places we have found. Although if you really want a good experience and the best they have to offer you have to go to the five star pizzas on tower road in Gainesville FL. None of the other locations have ever been able to meet the expectations that the tower road store set for us. Plus they just started a loyalty program with text offers and loyalty points which is something we always wished they had but honestly it didn’t factor in on my choice the pepperoni rolls and large pepperoni pizza well done with Garlic or cinnamon rolls and 2 liter of Dr.pepper are my go to every time and they have never let me down on tower road, we make a point to look for five star pizza where ever we go so we have tried them all through out florida, at least north central fl, haven't found them anywhere else.

“I went in and ate alone. I had Nonna's Spaghetti with a garden salad. The best Spaghetti I have eaten at a restaurant. The foccia bread was seasoned just right with rosemary. The honey balsamic glaze was delicious. I drank a glass of Moscato with my meal. I had flan inhouse and took home tiramisu. The waitress Sharmenda was absolutely wonderful. I will be back with my family. Thank you all so much for a fantastic experience.“

“We had my mother’s celebration of life yesterday. The Tower Road Piesanos catered our event. There are no words to express my gratitude to Tim and Mischa for their outstanding service. I had the Queenie, James Brown, Peppered Porter, the Golden Ale and the Bat Adder Helles. Each were unique in their flavors. Many breweries get stuck on the same flavor profile, you won't find that here. I will definitely be back.“

“we had a appointment at Shands and decided to have an early dinner. we started with the grouper fingers which were excellent. For my dinner I had the fried green tomatoes and she crab soup. They were both delicious 😋 Hubby had chicken sandwich and fries which were both good but he wishes he would have gotten something else like the shrimp etouffee. We will definitely be back. Our waitress was an absolute sweetheart sorry I forgot her name. But highly recommend!!“

“I placed my order online so it would be ready when I got there. Never been there be this. I got there and it was empty (one person walked in after me). The staff was finishing my order and I decided to eat there since no crowd. I had the Thai chicken salad and a strawberry banana smoothie. The chicken tasted fresh and was still warm. The smoothie was delicious. Also, when I ordered, there was a special 'pick 2' so the total price was not much more than the salad alone.“

“The Mint was delightful... The three restaurant people that were there today were each so nice. I particularly go for Indian food on Sundays, and they even had a little conversation with me. I'm so glad that this restaurant is here in Gainesville!!! The prices at the Mint are very reasonable, whereas most prices everywhere have shot up sky high. I ordered the dosa masala, and the sambar soup and the coconut chutney were delicious. The sambar even had a hint of cinnamon, just a hint, and it could not have been better. I ordered the garlic naan and the bread is not a large size portion but it is plenty when you are paying $2 and change. I think that the restaurant works largely by the several delivery services. There are 3 big long tables there for families and single tables also. The dining area is not very big at all but it is sufficient for good food and good people serving you. Amy.“
