I'm a bit more traditional, usually choosing between two or three dishes. My choice was delicious, and out of all my usual haunts at home when we do Chinese, the most flavorful. I used to manage restaurants for many years before I switched careers, and have been slightly disappointed that some service standards seemed to have gone by the wayside. Still, our service was good, and our server was very efficient.“

“Absolutely amazing service! I came here for the second time and took my friend who had never been for his birthday. All the staff members were incredibly sweet, especially our waitress Jimmy Bynum. He was incredibly social and also very polite. They even brought out cookies and a candle for my friend’s birthday. Even better that we happened to come at the same time as Coach Spurrier for dinner. Overall great staff, amazing food, and great environment.“

“We have gone by Big Mill’s for years and said one day we will have to check them out. Well today was that day. We are elderly and while running errands we decided today was the day to check out Big Mill’s. My husband loves trying Cheesesteak sandwiches wherever he sees them on the menu. My go to is a Patty Melt or Reuben so I was happy. We walked in to a room full of people talking & enjoying their food. We were greeted at the order window by a very sweet young lady who was very helpful since we told her it was our first time there. When we questioned a size she made sure to show us what that size was & explain it to us. After we placed our order to go she said we were welcome to have a seat & even gave me a cup for water while we waited since I didn’t order a drink but my husband’s came with one. As we sat there reading their great menu and the incredible list of shakes they offered we noticed if no one was at the counter ordering she was wiping down the tables & clearing baskets when someone was done with their food - she was non-stop and so friendly to everyone. Our first impression of Big Mill’s started with this young lady. Well done Big Mill’s. So only after a short wait we took our order home. My husband got the Big Philly cheesesteak, he eats half and saves the other half for tomorrow’s lunch. I got the Patty Melt and saved my half for tomorrow’s lunch as well. We also got their crinkled fries and cheese curds. Which I love to try wherever I see them on a menu. We just finished our lunch & I just had to write this and share with all. I never ever do this and that’s probably why it’s so long. Sorry about that. Did I mention we are elderly.😁 My husband said this was the BEST Philly Cheesesteak he has ever had, outside of Philly. My Patty melt was great as well and full of flavor, cooked perfectly with the grilled onions and of course on the best grilled/toasted bread. The French fries had a great seasoning sprinkled on them and the cheese curds were the real deal. Soooooo, my final comment, I promise, Big Mill’s is GREAT. The service, the food, the welcoming atmosphere, just the best. Big Mill’s will be our go to place for the Philly Cheesesteak and Patty melt but we are going to have to try some of their other sandwiches since they all sound wonderful. Thank you Big Mill’s. “I ordered a pepperoni pizza and received a cheese. The delivery driver just left the pizza on the porch. No knocking or calling. I didn’t know it was out there. It was cold by the time I realized it was there. I get pizza from here all the time and it’s normally amazing. this was the worst“

“I went in and ate alone. I had Nonna's Spaghetti with a garden salad. The best Spaghetti I have eaten at a restaurant. The foccia bread was seasoned just right with rosemary. The honey balsamic glaze was delicious. I drank a glass of Moscato with my meal. I had flan inhouse and took home tiramisu. The waitress Sharmenda was absolutely wonderful. I will be back with my family. Thank you all so much for a fantastic experience.“

“The gluten-free crust is something I’ve been missing for the 13 years I have been gluten-free. It is thick and flaky and absolutely delicious. I would love to know the recipe! I had Vegan cheese, spinach, tempeh and pepperoni. I was surprised they even had gluten-free pepperoni! It was the best pizza I have ever had and I just wish I lived in Gainesville so I could get it all the time! My only negative is that I wish they had more seating and more comfortable seating. “we had a appointment at Shands and decided to have an early dinner. we started with the grouper fingers which were excellent. For my dinner I had the fried green tomatoes and she crab soup. They were both delicious 😋 Hubby had chicken sandwich and fries which were both good but he wishes he would have gotten something else like the shrimp etouffee. We will definitely be back. Our waitress was an absolute sweetheart sorry I forgot her name. But highly recommend!!“

“We stopped in for a quick visit and loved this brewery! The custom beer flights were such a fun touch, and every beer we tried was really good and super yummy. Free parking was a huge plus, and the Christmas vendors outside made the stop feel extra festive.

Inside, we were really impressed with the holiday decor — it was cozy and perfectly done. The staff was very nice and welcoming, even though it was clearly busy. Our teenager ordered mozzarella sticks that were almost forgotten, but they were slammed so we totally understood and didn’t hold it against them at all.

Overall, a great quick stop with great vibes, great beer, and friendly service. We’d definitely come back!“

The air conditioning was running at full capacity and it wasn’t enough fresh air, specially at our table close to the open kitchen. It’s early August so it’s understandable. “East End Eatery is my favorite breakfast place in Gainesville! The best breakfast burrito in town! Always fresh veggies, gouda cheese grits that always satisfy, even a Florida native like me. “My husband and i have been eating five star pizza since we started dating almost 10 years ago and it’s hands down one of the best pizza places we have found. Although if you really want a good experience and the best they have to offer you have to go to the five star pizzas on tower road in Gainesville FL. None of the other locations have ever been able to meet the expectations that the tower road store set for us. Plus they just started a loyalty program with text offers and loyalty points which is something we always wished they had but honestly it didn’t factor in on my choice the pepperoni rolls and large pepperoni pizza well done with Garlic or cinnamon rolls and 2 liter of Dr.pepper are my go to every time and they have never let me down on tower road, we make a point to look for five star pizza where ever we go so we have tried them all through out florida, at least north central fl, haven't found them anywhere else.

“The Mint was delightful... The three restaurant people that were there today were each so nice. I particularly go for Indian food on Sundays, and they even had a little conversation with me. I'm so glad that this restaurant is here in Gainesville!!! The prices at the Mint are very reasonable, whereas most prices everywhere have shot up sky high. I ordered the dosa masala, and the sambar soup and the coconut chutney were delicious. The sambar even had a hint of cinnamon, just a hint, and it could not have been better. I ordered the garlic naan and the bread is not a large size portion but it is plenty when you are paying $2 and change. I think that the restaurant works largely by the several delivery services. There are 3 big long tables there for families and single tables also. The dining area is not very big at all but it is sufficient for good food and good people serving you. Amy.“

“ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. The Greek salad was gorgeous and fresh, dressing and tzatziki sauce were spot on, and both gyro-meat dishes we tried were truly fantastic. My only wish is that the spices in the baklava shone through a bit more; everything else was so well seasoned (even the French fries) that the dessert was a little bit of a let down. Would have been a completely flawless meal with a little extra spiced honey.“
