My husband ate the Pepper Steak and loved it. I tried the California roll. He enjoyed his dinner, mine was OK. We both however LOVED the soups. He had a bowl of egg drop and I enjoyed the best wonton soup I have ever had. We even ordered a bowl of the wonton to enjoy at home. “This is the best pizza in Gainesville! Last time I got their hot honey pizza with pepperoni and green peppers, it was awesome! We also spoke to the manager for a while as he was doing some maintenance work next to our table, he was super kind to us. If you only have one night in Gainesville, you can't go wrong here!“

“Absolutely amazing service! I came here for the second time and took my friend who had never been for his birthday. All the staff members were incredibly sweet, especially our waitress Jimmy Bynum. “I placed my order online so it would be ready when I got there. Never been there be this. I got there and it was empty (one person walked in after me). The staff was finishing my order and I decided to eat there since no crowd. I had the Thai chicken salad and a strawberry banana smoothie. The chicken tasted fresh and was still warm. The smoothie was delicious. Also, when I ordered, there was a special 'pick 2' so the total price was not much more than the salad alone.“

“Stopped here on recommendation from someone local. We were greeted immediately by GABRIEL. He was patient with us since we were first timers. I am not a Cuban food expert so I asked a few questions he answered politely without making me feel dumb.

We ordered the papa rellena (potato ball stuffed with ground beef) and a ropa veja empanada. (Crispy pastry stuffed with seasoned shredded beef) as appetizers. Both were delicious delicious.

For mains he got the Ybor Cuban sandwich which was Ham, Roasted Pork, Salami, Swiss Cheese, Mustard, Pickles, Ybor Cuban Bread. He got it minus the mustard. I of course had to sample it as well and it was very nice soft bread, juicy meat and the flavor all together was amazing!

I ordered the Lechon bowl. It came with Lechon (roasted pork), yellow rice black beans and sweet plantains with an egg on top (for $1 extra). Gabriel also asked if we wanted sauces, he named them off I asked to sample them all. One was the mojo sauce I know it was a citrus and very garlic forward sauce. I would have liked less garlic and more citrus. One was an almost sour cream(possibly) cilantro green sauce and one was a pink sauce don’t know what was in it but it was good!

When we come up from Jacksonville again we will definitely visit again! Possibly try other things as well!

“we had a appointment at Shands and decided to have an early dinner. we started with the grouper fingers which were excellent. For my dinner I had the fried green tomatoes and she crab soup. They were both delicious 😋 Hubby had chicken sandwich and fries which were both good but he wishes he would have gotten something else like the shrimp etouffee. We will definitely be back. Our waitress was an absolute sweetheart sorry I forgot her name. But highly recommend!!“

“I went in and ate alone. I had Nonna's Spaghetti with a garden salad. The best Spaghetti I have eaten at a restaurant. The foccia bread was seasoned just right with rosemary. The honey balsamic glaze was delicious. I drank a glass of Moscato with my meal. I had flan inhouse and took home tiramisu. The waitress Sharmenda was absolutely wonderful. “Beer was awesome, talked with the owner/brewer and you can tell he really cares about the beer he makes. Great atmosphere and really good beer. I had the Queenie, James Brown, Peppered Porter, the Golden Ale and the Bat Adder Helles. Each were unique in their flavors. Many breweries get stuck on the same flavor profile, you won't find that here. I will definitely be back.“

“My husband and i have been eating five star pizza since we started dating almost 10 years ago and it’s hands down one of the best pizza places we have found. Although if you really want a good experience and the best they have to offer you have to go to the five star pizzas on tower road in Gainesville FL. None of the other locations have ever been able to meet the expectations that the tower road store set for us. Plus they just started a loyalty program with text offers and loyalty points which is something we always wished they had but honestly it didn’t factor in on my choice the pepperoni rolls and large pepperoni pizza well done with Garlic or cinnamon rolls and 2 liter of Dr.pepper are my go to every time and they have never let me down on tower road, we make a point to look for five star pizza where ever we go so we have tried them all through out florida, at least north central fl, haven't found them anywhere else.

“Small restaurant and Asian store in a strip mall in Gainesville, FL for Authentic Filipino cuisine for take out. They cook only 2 days a week, on Friday and Saturday, and come at store opening at 10a to get fresh. They have a specific menu every week. The week I had gone, I ordered pancit bihon, small, and bistek and white rice. The food was excellent!!!!“
