“LI JUST FINISHED EATING THE PULLED PORK PLATTER AND IT MADE ME CURSE THEM OUT! I am extremely picky about pulled pork and baked beans coming from Alabama. This place {{{Knocked it out of the park}}}! I simply don’t care for BBQ in the Tampa Bay Area because most of the time is simply not good or a chain that is inconsistent. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STOP BY AND GOVERNMENT THEM A CHANCE. I was watching them make sample platters with brisket, chicken, pork, ribs and everything was looking incredible. I dont normally recommend places too easily but this place…. WOW“

“First Class all the way! Had them cater our event for over 250 people, the ‘Topping Off’ party for the new hospital being built in Riverview on 301. From Set -up, the servers and take down- 1st class!!! The food was wonderful!!! Highly recommend.“

Every slice was packed with flavor — some lean cuts that were tender and smoky, and others with just the right amount of fat that melted in your mouth. “Really good brisket sandwich! And the hot bbq sauce is 🔥 must try. Crinkle fries were extra crispy… just how I like it. Baked beans good w burnt ends and a little on the sweet side. Mac and cheese didn’t hit like we thought (based on the look of them) but they were ok. That salted caramel bar looked amazing but will try next time. Also, the 4R employees are always so nice and personable! Definitely a solid bbq spot we frequent.“

“We were in town visiting and we decided to stop by Konan’s to have some barbecue. As soon as we came in the door, we were greeted with huge smiles and nothing but friendliness. They walked us through the menu and asked us multiple times if there’s anything else they could get us. We received our food and we went outside to eat it. The food was phenomenal. Some of the best barbecue I’ve had. To top it off the owner brought out some of his special lemonade, which was unbelievable. I highly recommend Konan’s to anybody who is down for some good barbecue.“

“First visit to Kojaks this evening for dinner. We ordered a BBQ Chicken Dinner (1/4 white meat)with green beans and apple sauce ($8.50), a Chopped BBQ Beef sandwich with Mac n cheese ($8.95) and an extra side of baked beans and a corn muffin (.75). The chicken was tasty and moist, the green beans were just right and the apple sauce was tasty. The Chopped BBQ Beef sandwich was not my favorite. I knew when I ordered it that it would be in sauce and usually I prefer a sliced brisket sandwich without sauce but they did not have this as an option on the menu. I should have ordered something else and I’m not sure what I was thinking. However the Mac n cheese was really tasty and the baked beans were really good. The corn muffin was tasty and moist and I can recommend. We also ordered a small Housemade Sangria which was tasty.
This is a family owned and operated restaurant since 1947.
Seating is all indoor and the staff is friendly and helpful. You order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. Service was quick. Self serve beverages and proper fresh brewed iced tea (both unsweet and sweet).“

After finishing a meeting at COhatch, we noticed Bar-B-Que King right next door and decided to give it a try. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with a warm, genuine smile that immediately made us feel at home. The staff patiently explained the menu, even celebrating with us when they found out it was our first visit. It truly felt like we were among friends and family.

Another young lady went above and beyond to make sure our experience was unforgettable, and she did it with such kindness that it really stood out.

Now, the food, wow. Simply outstanding! The chicken was seasoned to perfection, the potato salad was fresh and flavorful, and the ribs were tender and delicious. Every bite reminded us why local gems like this are worth supporting.

This is more than just a place to eat, it’s a place to enjoy good food with even better people. If you’re in Tampa, Bar-B-Que King is a must-visit. We will definitely be back soon for more mouthwatering BBQ and the wonderful hospitality!“
