The highlight is all the food tastes like it came from a home kitchen...like it was made personally for us. I really like the meatloaf, others liked the shrimp dish and the chicken dishes, the side dishes of plantain, yuca, chefs special were all exceptional. “My last visit to Tampa was a home run with my brothers in the chap world. Simms killed it with the smoked mullet and turkey rice. The owners are great people and the food is off the chain. Thanks so much for doing food so right!“

“Let me start by saying that I'm usually not a big fan of chain BBQ restaurants. This place exceeded all expectations. The service was top-tier. They even sent out an array of samples because it was my first time here. That alone is something that's valuable and makes you want to come back. I had the 3 meat sample with the ribs which were good- not the best but good enough to come back. The brisket was good and the pulled pork was also good. The Banana Pudding was really good.

Overall, the food was good and I plan to go back there next weekend.“

But don't let that discourage you, otherwise you will miss out on a true treasure. This actually works out to your advantage. “Best BBQ I have had in awhile!!!!! We stopped in for lunch on a Friday with 5 adults and one child. All the employees were very friendly and helpful. All the food we ordered was OUTSTANDING!!!! The rest of the family had the pulled pork sandwich, mac and cheese, macaroni salad. I had the ribs, collard greens and baked beans. The ribs were fall of the bone tender and were so flavorful that you did not need to put any sauce on them. The greens were cooked perfect and had great flavor and the beans had a sweet smokey flavor to them that was also very good. The portions were very large, and everybody was too full to eat any desert, but we did get chocolate and apple cake to take home, and they as well were OUTSTANDING!!!! The service we received was top notch and all employees went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. I don't say it much, but this place is worth a drive to eat at if you do not live in the area and we will be back!!!!!!

“I’ve been going to Perry’s since I was a little girl. On weekends with my family, we used to stop by here together, after perusing through the mall, and would have a nice meal together. The employees were always so friendly and kind each and every time. The quality is always amazing, the portion sizes are huge and generous, and the food is always fresh. I have never been disappointed coming here and despite there being newer locations, this one still has my heart after all this time. Over the past twenty years, the mall has changed a lot and has gone quite downhill. And yet, Perry’s is still the same. I came back here today after not visiting for almost 6 years. As expected, the food was exactly how I remembered. This is such a good spot for Chinese takeout and you really get your bang for your buck (a basic combo is somehow only $10 even in this economy)! “I've been eating at Jerry's smokehouse for many years he's been a friend and very good dude and makes the greatest barbecue sandwiches that melt in your. Also has a garden that sells flowers and yard bushes and trees get good deals.

Parking: Actually it's got a roundabout where you can drive in get out walk up and get your dinner or go inside and there's a couple picnic tables and stuff you can eat at and or you can get your food and go and circle right I out.

Kid-friendliness: Just real friendly people will do anything for you. Just ask and I'm sure you will be happy.

Wheelchair accessibility: Yeah is wheelchair accessible that might be a little bumpy because there's a lot of you know rocks and stuff that go up to the to the BBQ smokehouse“

“Hit this place again today, been here several times. Always very friendly, helpful service. (I'm handicap so he's helped me to the car with the soups several times.) Just finished a few months of cancer treatments, so what better way to rebuilt your health than fresh homemade chicken soup and a matzoh ball! Such great comfort food too!
