“Utterly the best barbecue I've ever had and you get it faster than you do at McDonald's. Great service and it's family owned and operated. Love the rib's, collard greens and the Mac n cheese. Several other great items on the menu too. They do not serve fried food like some barbecue joints it's real barbecue potato salads, garlic butter parsley red potatoes, cole slaw and lots more. “Ordered a rack of ribs to go. Requested the juiciest and thickest ribs they had. And also requested they only cut the slab in 1/2 so we could reheat 1/2 of it the next day without it getting dried out.Ok..ribs were dry already. And they sliced the entire slab of ribs up ..so much for reheating them the next day.It’ll be a while before I forget this and come back. Dumb, simple instructions here. Not brain surgery.“

“The food was amazing. I am not from Florida originally. I have to say this is the best barbecue I’ve had in Florida. The service was very good and the atmosphere is fine. It’s a food truck so you get your food and you can take it home.The only complaint is, I purchased the meat madness special and two additional sides. It’s supposed to come with bread, but they forgot to give me bread. Other than that, it was very very good.My wife and I will be coming back again and will tell others about this place.Thank you.“

“The food was great, they made it fresh when we ordered it which is always the best. We gota few dishes to split since it was our first time having it. We got the loaded pulled pork fried with BBQ sauce, a BBQ pulled pork sandwich, and sweet and spicy wings. The BBQ sauce was a bit sweet for my taste, but still delicious. I think the sandwich bread was toasted with garlic butter, it was so good. The wings could use some more spice. It tastes like there's love in the food, overall highly recommend.It appears to be a family owned business and I love to see it!“

“My wife and I came in after church and was pleasantly greeted and given an overview of the menu. She ordered the brisket, potato salad and baked beans. I ordered ribs, brisket, potato salad, and rice & peas. Everything was to our satisfaction! As my wife is eating, all I hear her say is “ok, come through brisket!” I take it she really likes the brisket. ? The ribs were fall off the bone good, the brisket was juicy and flavorful. The rice and peas were spot on and the other sides, and cornbread were good. We will definitely be coming back for more.“

“The Lakeland location is better!! The people are nicer and trained well. At the Riverview store we were told to take menus abd sit down until we knew what we wanted to order, there was no one behind us. Then the girl did not know how to ring up my food. Then my order was brought out without one of my sides and instead of leaving the food she brought, she took it all back . Now my food was warmish when it came to the table instead of hot. I was with friends who ordered right after me, but their food came out AFTER the people who came in and ordered after us. Clerk (waitress) only came to our table once to check on drinks and if we needed anything. I will drive to the Lakeland store.“

GENEROUS portions and SCRUMPTIOUS food made our stomach smile and our evening fantastic! The building was relaxing and bright so we dined in. “Wow, I just had the best experience, ever, at the Brisket Shoppe. This was my second time in, my first time was also a great experience, they asked me if I had been in before and when I said no proceeded to take me on a tour of the place! This time I came in and they just made me feel like family. “The Brisket Boys” as I like to refer to them in my head, were all so kind and inviting, felt like I’d known them all my life. The food: well this is the only place in Tampa that is frying in pure beef tallow. Every other place that boasts “tallow fries” actually cuts the tallow with some kind of seed oil. I avoid seed oils like the plague, so this means a lot to me! Even the gravy I dipped my fries into didn’t have any sketchy ingredients. The brisket was melt in your mouth and I loved the seasoning. I highly recommend The Brisket Shoppe!“
“OK to start off I grew up on a pig farm ... grew up with 2 of the best bbq spots in the US.... this surpassed every expectation I had ... the pork is cooked to perfection .... moist with a perfect crust .... the collards where knocked out of the park ... I spent 20 bucks with dinner drink and tip .... I will be making this my regular bbq spot ... and for those saying the prices are too high need to learn that good isn't cheap and cheap isn't good and this is exceptional bbq .... originally stopped to give it a shot just from seeing the old growth oak laying on the side .... but the flavor the textures all around atmosphere and aroma got me to give it a shot.. I don't need any other bbq spot any more“

We had the ribs, brisket and pulled pork and all were tender and juicy and not dry at all. The frozen sweet tea was awesome too! Not too sweet and we all loved it. “BEST BBQ AROUND!!!!Tried a couple of bbq places in this area and NONE beat S&J. Ordered pulled pork dinner on bread with Mac, beans, and potato salad everything was incredible and a 12/10.Had a bit of trouble finding it at first with the address google gave me but I called and the gentleman on the phone was extremely kind and helped me find it between the Amazon warehouse and circle K on north parsons ave.Don’t pass this place up you’ll regret it!!!“
