“We went to the location on Gandy Boulevard today. We were just passing by and saw it so looked up the menu online. At this particular location there was a kiosk to order and no indoor seating. There was a taphouse next-door that had outdoor seating so we grabbed a drink and ate our food there. The portions were large and everything was absolutely delicious! I was delighted to find vegan options. Everything was well seasoned and very flavorful! We would definitely come back again!“

I ventured away from my usual Thai Bowl and tried the Big Italy with crispy chicken and spaghetti squash. Dang…was it good! Portions were sufficient, well-prepared and proudly served. This selection might just become my favorite at Cali’s. Granted, the staff consists of young adults who are, in the least, committed to going to work to earn their pay. Their attitude is encouraging. Some of the comments posted may not be fair. One has to allow opportunity for on-the-spot redress of an actual or perceived wrong (the menu is self-explanatory or can be clarified by simply asking). Door Dash picked up the wrong order, so I called and Mike (the owner) was able to get them to come back and deliver the correct one. “Food is horrible. I ordered the Bayou pasta. It was dry and it had no seasoning. All I tasted was noodles on the first bite. O, they charge 4 dollars for extra sauce for the pasta. Like really! If you ever had food in New Orleans, you will know this ain't it. I don't know what others see in the food. Maybe each location is different. I went to the one in Rockledge/Cocoa Beach, Fl area. There is no concern with being hungry after your meal, I’ve left here feeling stuffed! They will accommodate your food additions or deletions with no issues too. The mocktail menu is diverse too. Hilton members get $30 credit per room for on site purchases and we were able to use our credits toward this restaurant. A steal if you ask me for the taste. Perfect portion sizes for family style between 4 people (6 people if some of you are light eaters).Everything we ate was great but special shout out to the mushroom pizza, almond and sweet potato salad, short ribs, and pomodora pasta.“

It’s been quite some time so when I moved back to this area I was eager to find out if this place survived the pandemic. Thank god it did. The cafe con leche is buttery and creamy. The Cuban toast is crunchy and soft on the inside. The food is awesome and authentic. The service is informal but I don’t mind that at all. The prices I believe are the best part.
