“What a gem! I found them after Jesus had his video about the history of the Tampa Cuban sandwich go viral. That was just the beginning! He has created an homage to the Afro-Cuban experience of Ybor/Tampa culture a century ago, spelled out lovingly in food and drink. We started with papa’s sangria and devil crab, of course, followed by a zingy tapenade on Cuban bread crostini. Just delicious. Their mojo pork is exquisite and the sauce is available by the bottle. My partner had crab shalah, blue crab in creole sauce over angel hair, and it was incredible. As much as the guava empanadas would have been a tasty finish, we opted instead to split a (spectacular) strawberry tres leches cake - Out. Of. This. World. We are blessed to have such a great addition to the food scene. And the sandwiches are always available if you need to scratch that itch. I cannot wait to go back and keep trying everything on the menu.“

It was literally made to perfection…
The bread was nicely pressed with a crisp crunch to it, the meats were all fresh & tender & it wasnt hard ok the pockets either. And it was made in under 5 minutes!!!

“You know you are in the right spot, when you walk in the door and all you smell is the seasoned meat. The service was amazing, very welcoming and courteous. We had the Pan con Bistec and the Huevo con papa's. It was delicious! And of course got my espresso shot too. Highly recommend.“

“Despite quite a few recent one star reviews we decided to take a chance on Cuban Breezes last weekend and are so glad we did. Highly recommended.

The restaurant was almost full when we entered but we were soon greeted with a smile and within a few minutes a small booth was cleaned and ready.

Our server was Maddie and she could not have been better, friendly, professional, attentive and knowledgeable.

Their website mentions a meatloaf Cuban, which I immediately had my heart set on, but sadly it turns out this is only available occasionally as a 'Special' and Maddie said it usually sells out pretty quickly.

We ordered yuca fritters, a Cuban, a Hawaiian Cuban (which yes, sounds a little crazy)
tostones, congri (think Cuban dirty rice) plus a chardonnay and an ice cold beer.

The food came out in a timely manner and everything was hot, well prepared and delicious, at least as good as any Cuban we've had in Fort Myers, Miami or the Keys.

We both love a good Cuban sandwich, or its even sweeter cousin, the Medianoche, but agreed with Maddie that the Hawaiian Cuban is our new favorite, sort of the Cuban version of tacos al pastor.

Our whole experience could not have been more positive (maybe a few less F-Bombs from the kitchen staff). Great food at fair prices, cheap beer and a friendly staff! Give Cuban Breezes a try and, as for Maddie, ask for her by name. You won't be disappointed.“

“This is by far the best local eatery! I eat here almost every day. All the food is outstanding; as I eat healthy, I normally get the steak or chicken with salad and yuca or black beans. Of course a Cuban coffee and just sometimes one of their delicious desserts. I always bring home yuca and salad for dinner. For now, am staying away from carbs and have lost 11 pounds since going here.!! The servers are fantastic and very friendly. The entire restaurant is clean which is a huge thing to me! “Stopped in Francis Cafe after getting a haircut at Champions Barber next door. Normally, this restaurant isn't open on Dundays, but because of the hurricane and people without power, they decided to open for the day.

They were extremely nice and courteous. We ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches, a cafe con Leche, and a sunny D.

Awesome little spot to stop in for some Cuban food. We will be back!!

“This place looks like a little dive when you drive by, it is. Like the good kind. The menu is simple but is made to order by two ladies who you would want as a grandmother and a sister.. There are also some premade foods which looked pretty good. The food is real “homemade”. It appears to be geared toward working folk (me) and I loved it.“

Just as the roast pork is delicious, the coffee with milk is also excellent. The prices are consistent. with the food. The treatment is familiar and pleasant, you don't have to wait to be served. “Best Cuban food outside of Miami. Great menu choices. I had the chicken ala parilla with tostones. It was delicious. Server was friendly and very professional. Went for lunch at about 2 pm after visiting the Tampa Zoo, which is not too far away. We were seated right away. Plenty of parking. You have a choice to sit cafeteria/stool style on the one side of the building or a sit-down table on the other. Highly recommended, very reasonably priced.“

“My wife and I have many favorite Latin American restaurants, but this one absolutely blew us away. The breaded steak was the actual best I’ve ever had. It was so tender that we only needed a fork to eat it. The breading was also flavorful and crunchy. The rest of the plate was great as well. “Man we've had the privilege of catching up with these guys 2x now and they do. ot disappoint. Recently saw them again down in Ybor at the Cuban sandwich festival.
