“Genuine cuban home-cooked lunch joint serving the employees within the warehouse complex. Cheaper than McDonalds, faster, clean, presented on real dishes, and really flavorful. La señora in the kitchen is truly talented and the employees are really nice. Whenever we go to our mechanic in the complex we eat here, and we're always very impressed. No real menu, just several specials on a whiteboard. They cater.“

“I passed by Nicoya Fusion for a quick bite and coffee while running errands and let me tell you this little cafe is definitely worth a visit! This is a small family owned business with a Latin fusion menu that has a bit of everything from pastries, sandwiches, salads, smoothies, coffee, juices, etc. The service was absolutely impeccable, very friendly people and the prices are amazing. “The restaurant was in a nice area in Hialeah gardens or unincorporated Hialeah, not sure what this area qualifies as. Anyway, it was nice. We were immediately greeted by the hostess. She was kind and asked where we preferred to be seated because we had a stroller. The table we had ready for us (we got in line online) didn't work because of the stroller. So she quickly helped us get one that worked for us. We chose to be seated outside. Nice outside area that isn't in direct sun light. The table we were initially sat at was so wobbly that I don't see how anyone could eat there. We had to move to a different one. However, the three outside tables in the size we needed were full of dirty plates. We had to ask the server to please clear a table so we could switch. She called over the busser and he cleared the plates on the one table we were moving to and then they left all the other tables around us dirty. A dirty napkin was even left on top of the sugar and I had to move it to another table. Gross...

Another party came to eat outside and they too had to switch tables. They had to sit at one of the tables with dirty plates. The servers just moved the plates to the side to accommodate them. The dirty plates remained the entire hour that we were there dining. I'm not sure why no one cleared them. It wouldn't have been much more effortful to take it in and clear the table. In other restaurants all employees do this, not just the busser.

“Neighborhood joint for beer and billiards with breakfast at 8am. Out of an old Havana movie. Put a dollar in San Lazato"s "vaca" before you leave. Cafe Pilon brewed to perfection.Full breakfast $6. You might find recommended in Michelin...not the Guide, the tire store down the street. Looks rough at first but good food and charm. Kevlar optional.

This is my go to place for Cuban sandwiches. In my opinion ( based on trying numerous other places) they make the BEST Cubans and For only $5.75. Much less than other places for much more sandwich. I do good to eat half. Sandwich and a large cafe con Leche for under $ 8.00. Try it- You will like it.“
