One of my friends is Mexican and she said the blue corn tortillas reminded her of her grandmothers. Do not miss this unassuming Michelin rated restaurant next time you are in the Grove.“

We went with two of her recommendations. The il piu italiano avo toast and mega mushroom omelette…so good!! “There most likely will be a wait and you should definitely wait it out. The average is about 40mins around 10am on a Saturday.

The staff was wonderful and you get to SEE bread being freshly baked every second.

We went for it with fruit & yogurt, eggs Florentine, and baguette. We couldn’t finish it all but that baguette was LIFE. So delicious and perfectly warm and toasted!

This place is an absolute gem.

We shared several dishes and every single one was better than the last. The cigars, arayes, challah schnitzel sandwich, shawarma on laffa, and the knafeh were all phenomenal.

As Israelis, we know Mediterranean food, and this was simply outstanding. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and made with care.

The entire experience was amazing from start to finish.

I also want to give a special shout-out to Ryan, our server. Ryan was absolutely incredible. You can genuinely tell that he loves what he does and takes pride in where he works. Every recommendation he gave us was a perfect choice. He checked on us throughout the meal, always made sure our drinks were full, kept us smiling and laughing, and treated us with exceptional kindness and professionalism.

Ryan was a huge part of what made this experience so memorable. Employees like him are hard to find, and he deserves recognition for the outstanding job he does. He represents your restaurant in the best possible way.

“Had a lovely brunch at Cafe Bastille! We ordered a chai latte, americano, avocado toast with bacon and the blueberry pancakes. Both dishes were absolutely devine! Our waitress Daniela was outstanding! Very friendly, very fast and nice serving.“

She always greets us with a warm, welcoming smile, is incredibly attentive, and never misses the chance to stop by and make sure everything is perfect. Breakfast here is always a treat. The avocado toast is fresh and delicious, and the American breakfast is the perfect combination of sweet and savory—crispy bacon, fluffy pancakes, eggs cooked just the way you like them, and crispy hash browns.
