“Quick and easy stop for some ham and cheese coquettes. Service was crazy fast and the lady was super nice. The coquettes were pretty standard and definitely worth grabbing a few on a visit. Can’t speak on the rest of the menu but it’s extensive and they have your typical cuban cuisine.“

“The food is made fresh, and the flavors are fantastic! All of their sauces are scratch made. I highly the tangy gold sauce-- it's the perfect mix of sweet, mustard savory, smoke, and a touch of heat. The spicy chicken sandwich was phenomenal. Personally, I'd prefer it with a single chicken breast instead of the two tenders, but the tenders work and were perfectly breaded (not overly breaded) and cooked tender & juicy inside. My fiancé got the Cachapa, and my suegra got the salad with both the chicken and beef. The chicken and beef were popping with flavor and were tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The Cachapa was oozing with cheese, and the corn meal they used was top quality.

“I took a gamble ordering from a place I never heard of in Miami on Grubhub called Quinoa Connection, and it paid off BIG TIME! 1st of all, I never use Grubhub, but now as an Amazon prime member, I get free delivery. 2nd reason why I don’t order from Grubhub is that I am always so suspect that these restaurants I never heard of are ghosts kitchens making vegan food, who might not care about vegans, and I was wrong to assume that about Quinoa Connection. Not only do they have a location at 134 Hialeah Drive in Hilaleah (which I intend to visit soon), the owner, Donald, called and texted to verify my order, my allergies and to confirm my satisfaction as well, (plus he gave me a little extra treat too). I order the “Pecandillo” which is essentially a Picadillo made with pecans instead of meat, tomatoes, onions, peppers, garlic, olives, raisins, and spices, served on top of quinoa and I added black beans for an extra charge. The portion was very satisfying and the taste and flavors were incredible. As a surprise for a dessert, I was given an house made dessert empanada aka The Nada Empanada tm Key Lime, A Frozen Date, Almond, Orange Zest Pocket, filled with Key Lime Pie filling: lime juice, avocado, raw organic agave, coconut cream, vanilla, sea salt, and it was out of the world delicious! Literally the best variation of an ice cream sandwich I have ever had. 10 of out 10 for me on this one! The price was right, the portions were perfect, the owner was courteous and super kind, and the food was delicious and nutritious!“

They should be more careful with the portions of the components in all plates. My reviews are based off the top ranking place, Pinolandia by Flagler & 12th Ave.This location has great Carne Asada! The portion is good and the taste is great! The Queso Frito was good too, I prefer it a little more crisp but it's good quality cheese. The Gallo Pinto was sub-par, it was a bit harder than I'd like. “Pio Pio is a hidden treasure! I keep coming back here at least once a week. I have traveled around the world and this is one of my favorites. The food is consistently perfect. Everything on the menu is delicious, like a home cooked meal from abuelita . The service is incredibly friendly and fast. The atmosphere is super clean and comfortable. I have tried other restaurants nearby, and Pio Pio is definitely the best. I honestly don't know why there isn't a line out the door to eat here. If I could suggest anything, it would be to change the brand look to something more sophisticated. The cartoon chicken and bright colors are not the best image. It turns people away because it looks like cheap fast food. They also need to advertise more. But the food is so good, you will love it!“
