“Wife surprised me for my Birthday as she knows i enjoy a good hanger steak so she threw me a small surprise party here the Service was excelent And Accommodating.
Accept my dad and I My only Complaint is we ordered the hanger steak although I ordered it exactly how it was recommended medium rare In order for it not to be tough it was stil chewy“

“First time stop in. Have been making efforts to hit the Mom & Pops never visited before. This is definitely a good find. Small place with a friendly wait staff. Stopped in for first breakfast. Ordered a small biscuits and gravy. It’s a large portion for a “small”! Good wholesome flavor. Not too peppery like some get. Biscuit was fluffy and very tasty! Wife got her usual 2 eggs, home fries, sausage patty and sourdough toast. It’s what she gages all breakfast by. Said this one ranked pretty high on her yum! list. Next time into Lakeland, we’ll be stopping in!“

“Out-of-towner happy to have landed at Zest for a late, Sunday afternoon lunch on a day trip to tour Bartow's interesting Wonder House, with quick, unplanned visits to the L.B. Brown House Museum and the Bartow History Center. Located on a side street a couple of blocks from the old town square Zest has a quiet, unassuming appearance with off-street parking and an outside, covered dining patio. Inside seating includes booths, tables and the bar in a large, high-ceilinged, sort of dimly lit dining area with a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Our server Regan, (I think was her name) was efficient, and attentive and just right friendly. Our food - we both had fish and chips with cole slaw - was excellent - the slaw was good - chunky cut with vinegar-based dressing rather than mayo-based, medium cut fries and the fish were very good - tender and crisp (the fish lightly battered). Definitely would be a repeat customer if I was a local. Planning to return to Bartow for a scheduled tour of the L.B. Brown House and to explore more of the History Center and it will be hard to decide whether to try a different restaurant or to return here where we really enjoyed the service, the meal and the space.“

“Started off with a hostess that clearly needed her meds....sat our family of 5 at a 4 top table and tried to have my mom who was using a walker squeeze between a table and another customer just to get to the table...when I asked about a larger table she snaps and tells me "this is all we have...all the other sections are closed...we are waiting for more servers to come in" ....ok so our waitress was great....can't remember her name but she was truly having to run like a chicken with her head cut off due to the lack of staff ....food finally comes....oh wait it's 30 minutes till the mashed potatoes are done....ordered "seasoned " rice...it was hard...dry...and as bland as the day is long....and the cooked carrots must have been cooked back when they first opened cause they were mushy and changing colors🤢 in addition to numerous other food issues...save your money and find somewhere else to dine....cracker barrel has lost their touch for sure“

“Having eaten in this restaurant multiple times over the years I quite honestly can say that Eric has done an amazing job with the restaurant, food, and waitresses. They are pleasant and professional with one waitress truly making people smile. She is a consummate mom to her little man Xander and one of the main reasons why I eat there.“

“To Orlando and stopped here for dinner. It was a pleasant surprise. Great outdoor space with a live musician. The staff was wonderful. The burger was exceptional. Choice of wines a lot of beers. Definitely recommend coming here.“

Service is good from all the servers, but Ruby and that smile and bubbly disposition is enough to turn a bad day into a better day!! The menu.....you can't go wrong. “The buffet style restaurant was nice. It was very busy. The selection of food was good I loved the dessert bar the most. Haha.... there was 1 rude worker that ran my foot over with the dish cart but I was hungry and didnt speak up so my fault for not but they should habe noticed the big lump in the floor and apologized. I would still go back.“

“What a great find in south Lakeland! I had the tenderloin and my friend had a burger. We could tell both were made in-house, not frozen and thrown in the fryer or on the grill. Delicious!“
