“My family and I booked a reservation here. Gabby and the Chef went above and beyond our expectations! The service was amazing. Gabby was on top of it, answered all of our questions, and keep our drinks full. She was also serving all the other tables in the restaurant. She works very hard. The chef came to greet us after our table was set. He made sure all of our food was cooked to our liking. I cannot recommend this place more. Props to Gabby and the Chef. I will be coming back everytime I am in Islamorada!”

“I recently stopped by this cozy little tiki bar, and I have to say — what a pleasant surprise! The atmosphere is fun and tropical, with bright décor and beachy vibes that make you feel like you’re on vacation.

It did take a little while to get seated since the space is pretty limited, and the initial wait for service was on the longer side. However, once we were greeted, our waiter was super friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home.

The real star here, though, was the food — seriously impressive! Every dish we ordered was flavorful and beautifully presented, far better than I expected from such a small spot. Once we placed our order, the food actually came out surprisingly fast and piping hot.

Overall, despite the short wait and tight seating, the great service, tasty food, and chill island vibes made it a memorable experience. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the mood for a little tropical getaway!”

My one preference is more boiled food options, but most seafood restaurants in the keys and the U.S. for that matter prefers fried so it is what it is. At least I found a few non -fried options like the Cajun crabs.”

“Stopped by Islamorada Shrimp Shack for takeout and tried the alligator bites and shrimp fritters. The alligator was a bit under-seasoned and definitely needed a dip in remoulade to bring it to life. The shrimp fritters, however, were on point—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and absolutely delicious. Bonus points for the wonderfully friendly staff, who made the stop a super pleasant one. They were also fast and got us back on the road in no time.”

“Discovered this little strip mall gem on our first evening. The owners and staff are delightful. Sunday brunch was a treat, the quiche was obviously freshly made and delicious and the biscuits and gravy were amazing. There is a well rounded wines by the glass menu with something for every taste and a more extensive wine by the bottle menu. I would totally recommend this place to anyone.”

Steven, Emily, Yosel, and the staff were all very welcoming and treated my family and I amazingly from the moment we entered to when we left. Food was great, drinks, all of it. “We visited while on vacation. The first time we had the ice cream and some of the chocolates. The next day we returned and bought more ice cream, chocolates, and candy as souvenirs to take home to the kids. Everything was delicious and the service was great. Everyone was friendly and looked like they genuinely enjoyed their job. I love the decor too.”

“Yummy ice cream and shaved ice, and incredible customer service! It was a hot December day and Robbie’s and Charli’s Shave Ice was the perfect place to get a snack! Large menu, multiple sizes, fast service (especially when you have tons of people and only one person behind the bus). We have members in our party with celiac and when asked if anything was gluten free, for celiac, they answered and even offered to show us the tubs of ice cream and flavor bottles! There was a mix up on our end and when I reached out later, the owners were incredibly helpful and understanding. This is definitely a small business you should support! The owners are great, service is fast, prices are decent, location is great, snacks are yummy! This will be on our list for when we come back to the keys! Also don’t miss the key lime pie ice cream!”

The atmosphere is relaxed and beautiful, with unbeatable waterfront views, but the highlight of my visit was the blackened hogfish with Tabasco butter sauce. Perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and the sauce was incredible — rich, flavorful, and with just the right amount of kick. It’s one of those dishes you’ll be thinking about long after the meal. The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. If you’re in the Keys, Marker 88 is a must-visit for both the food and the setting. Highly recommend!”

“They kept the charm of the old Marker 88 in little details like keep the 2 GREEN covered table and benches almost in the same location as before... a iconic scene was shot in one of them on a episode of BLOODLINE. Food is as good if not better than before if that is possible.... service is excellent too. Friendly staff including hostess/host and waitresses/waiters very impressed with the new dock and WOW EVERY table has a GREAT view to take in LOTS of selfies were being taken during my visit, I celebrated my 78th Birthday 1 day before and had Fresh Mahi Mahi Tacos for Lunch. So happy they did a complete do over after the destruction from the hurricane that so much damage to the beautiful Keys. Welcome Back Marker 88! Happy to see you there....”

The key lime pie is a tart so that should be correctly stated, flavorful nonetheless. If nothing else, stop for a nice walk about the grounds right on the beach, and spend a bit of time decompressing at this lovely little restaurant, where the service, food, and atmosphere do not disappoint.”
