“Twisted Shrimp was delicious. Thomas (the waiter) was a hoot. My party of 4 all had something different. We also shared two desserts. It was all good. Indoor seating is limited. We ate outdoors and was visited by an Iguana in the tree. (sweet!) I recommend anything on the menu. Great place to eat!”

Pork belly melts in your mouth (the table next to us ordered one, loved it so much they ordered 3 more and 2 to go, that's saying something!)

Wagyu Short ribs were tender and bursting with flavors that enhanced the meat

When I took the first bite of my brisket/short ribs blend burger I literally had an explosion of flavors, the sweet caramelized onions and the melting Swiss cheese on a soft brioche bun, 1000% was the best burger I've ever had. The truffle parm fries that came with these were 10/10 as well!

8oz of top sirloin/ picanha cooked to perfection the fat rendered beautifully with a dusting on sea salt across the top enhancing all the delicious flavors!

We opted to try their homemade mashed taters honestly they are ok, wouldn't order them again, everything else though absolutely would order again!”

“Live music, good drinks, a fire pit, many outdoor seats, great drinks. The atmosphere is very relaxing. We really enjoyed the love music and walking along the boardwalk area. They added toech/tiki lights and a lot of remodeling. Very nice job remodeling everything here. The Sticky Steak skewers were very good.”

“We stumbled upon Key Roots in Islamorada and couldn’t have been happier! Everything here is all-natural and made with care. I had the açaí bowl and it was absolutely excellent — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared.

We brought the whole family, and everyone loved the atmosphere. Even better, they were open on the 4th of July, and we got the chance to meet the owner, Maria. She’s fantastic — incredibly sweet and welcoming. She shared the story of how she came to the Keys from Italy and built this little oasis. You can feel the heart and soul she’s poured into the place.

Highly recommend stopping by Key Roots if you’re in the area. We’ll definitely be back to visit Maria again on our next trip to the Keys!”

“Omg the shrimp here was amazing! Great selection of beer too. I got the shrimp basket fried in piña colada batter, which gave it an awesome coconut flavor. It came with a side of my choice, so I went with the mac n’ cheese. Definitely not healthy, but honestly such a great dinner. My husband had the shrimp and grits, which were packed with amazing flavor.

The ambiance was laid-back and chill, which was perfect after a long day. Lots of great food options too!

The servers were so sweet and attentive. You could tell they had great teamwork and were all helping each other.

Overall, it’s such a fun spot with yummy food, and the prices were reasonable. Already dreaming about the fried shrimp!!! We also ordered the key lime pie with chocolate to go, and we’re excited to enjoy it as a snack later!”

“Discovered this little strip mall gem on our first evening. The owners and staff are delightful. Sunday brunch was a treat, the quiche was obviously freshly made and delicious and the biscuits and gravy were amazing. There is a well rounded wines by the glass menu with something for every taste and a more extensive wine by the bottle menu. I would totally recommend this place to anyone.”

The second floor was not crowded at the moment, she gave us VIP treatment and even as it got more crowded she was the same and didn’t stop attending us. “Yummy ice cream and shaved ice, and incredible customer service! It was a hot December day and Robbie’s and Charli’s Shave Ice was the perfect place to get a snack! Large menu, multiple sizes, fast service (especially when you have tons of people and only one person behind the bus). We have members in our party with celiac and when asked if anything was gluten free, for celiac, they answered and even offered to show us the tubs of ice cream and flavor bottles! There was a mix up on our end and when I reached out later, the owners were incredibly helpful and understanding. This is definitely a small business you should support! The owners are great, service is fast, prices are decent, location is great, snacks are yummy! This will be on our list for when we come back to the keys! Also don’t miss the key lime pie ice cream!”

“I took my family there back in 2010. We took a cruise and found out that this place was affiliated with a former Steeler. Having been raised and still a Steeler fanatic this place was awesome. The accommodations were amazing and the service outside was great. Just trying to plan a return trip! Going on 14 years later.”

“We loved our stay at Amara Cay over spring break! Will certainly be back. Fish Like a Local was an incredible experience at Amara Cay and Three Waters for our whole family! We have been to the keys several times participating in multiple fishing experiences on charters and off bridges and Patrick was by far the best guide we have ever had! He is so friendly, fun, informative and patient! We were fortunate enough to fish with him our first day and it was a hit. We made it a point to be sure we fished with him again prior to the end of our trip and will be sure to check him out the next time we are in the keys. Highly recommend!”

“I really like cafe cubano, there’s quite a few reviews talking about “bad service” and whatnot, but in the simplest form, this place is an in and out quick and easy very yummy cuban cuisine inside of a gas station. Delightful empanadas, highly recommend, just quick and easy, I like.”

“We visited while on vacation. The first time we had the ice cream and some of the chocolates. The next day we returned and bought more ice cream, chocolates, and candy as souvenirs to take home to the kids. Everything was delicious and the service was great. Everyone was friendly and looked like they genuinely enjoyed their job. I love the decor too.”

“We were so excited to find this location of sushi sake, it is the absolute best! The sushi melted in our mouths, honestly it's some of the best sushi we have ever had, and we eat a lot of sushi! This time it was my son and myself, we had sashimi nigiri and a few rolls. Our favorite was the Kendall roll, which we chose by recommendation of the chefs, Thomas and Steven. “From the moment we were greeted, to the waiter, the bar tender and the manager who walked us out to the car with an umbrella; it was absolutely fabulous! We arrived earlier and sat down at the bar where Jeff served us great cocktails. The old fashioned was smoked and my gin sour ( with egg whites) perfectly served up. Happy hour menu of small bites is excellent. Try the lamb and the scallops; amazing... Dinner on the veranda overlooking the sunset can't be beat. We had lamb tagine, escargot, oysters and grouper. Everything delicious! Definitely a go to place while at Islamorada.”

Friendly staff including hostess/host and waitresses/waiters very impressed with the new dock and WOW EVERY table has a GREAT view to take in LOTS of selfies were being taken during my visit, I celebrated my 78th Birthday 1 day before and had Fresh Mahi Mahi Tacos for Lunch. So happy they did a complete do over after the destruction from the hurricane that so much damage to the beautiful Keys. Welcome Back Marker 88! Happy to see you there....”

“What and exceptional meal. Our server was possibly the sweetest human we gave met on our vacation. The staff is so courteous and professional. Our meal was a special treat and we were given top star service. The meal itself was a showstopper. Our daughter is a picky eater and was treated with such care. The Mahi Mahi is absolutely one of the most exquisite dishes. I was able to pair it with a side reserved for the specials (coconut rice) and honestly it should be served as such. My husband got a rib and shrimp meal and loved every bite. Our desserts were equally incredible. If you want a family friendly meal (that's a treat) you HAVE to check out Atlantics edge.”
