“I know this isn't a local joint, but it was late and local options were slim at the time. I wanted to send a shout out to Waffle House on Baymeadows Road in Jacksonville for an excellent experience last night. We walked in for a late dinner at 10 minute to 9. They were packed and short staffed. We grabbed the only open table and the shift leader (manager?), who was also cooking, brought our drinks and took our order, advising that it may be a wait. While we were there, 4 staff members that had been called in to help showed up and went right to work. They were a well oiled machine, continually checking on all of the tables, apologizing for the wait, and thanking everyone for their patience. We got our food and left within an hour. If we had gone to the IHOP 2 doors down, we would have still been waiting for our food (even in the best of times.) I know times are tough for the service industry right now, but these ladies and gentlemen handled it with grace and efficiency. I tipped 50% of the bill, and would have done much more if I could have.“

“Came here while in Jacksonville and seeing family friends. Enjoyed their salad, but our food took ages and many of parties food was cold. Customer service was okay, server was respectful but forgot some instructions we gave. Beautiful restaurant.

You could tell that she wasn't having the best day but she did everything she could to please those people and they still managed to complain to the manager and get a free meal. “Wowwwwww!!! My husband & I just happened to come here on a Saturday morning after the remodeling & everything was free. The food was phenomenal! My husband got the Eggstreme biscuits & gravy & I got the sausage egg & cheese biscuit. We ate every single bite & I was mopping up the last of the gravy with a piece of leftover biscuit. Mmmmm… they have lots of breakfast options but they have plenty of lunch options as well. We loved it. The staff was superb, very attentive and accommodating. Great prices for a restaurant in the San Marco area. Definitely worth your time for a savory breakfast or lunch. Thank you, MapleStreet!!! That was a sweet surprise to our Saturday morning. “The new staff member that are the servers are wonderful. I went to Pier 151 when it was open prior to new management and going back was hard. However Michelle, Samara, and Miea are wonderful. They exceeded my expectations since I was nervous to go back to the restaurant without my original service animal. I have another one and she did amazing for her first time. “This was one of the most pleasant experiences at Waffle House. I’m glad we stopped by this location when passing through town. I got the $12 breakfast meal it was good and the eggs were perfect and the bacon was crisp and the grits was slapping. “Last time I was at an IHOP, a roach decided to join me on top of the table (in Charlotte, NC) so I left immediately but I decided to give it a try again and I'm in awe. The server was AMAZING! I don’t remember her name but she made sure to go above and beyond. The cook was quick and the food was great.
