From first contact through set up Aaron the manager and Sonny the owner handled the event like it was a white glove gala. Their communication was on point leaving no room for worries. The chai tea latte was absolutely delicious—smooth, perfectly balanced, and made with so much care. But honestly, the coffee is just the beautiful bonus.
This place is so much more. It’s a human rights movement disguised as a coffee shop, and you feel that the moment you walk in. The team members—individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities—are genuinely proud, warm, and incredibly skilled at what they do. Their smiles, enthusiasm, and attention to detail made my visit feel special and seen. Watching them work with such joy and competence is a powerful reminder of how much talent and heart gets overlooked in our world.
The founders’ mission—to change the way people see other people, one cup at a time—shines through everything here. In a society where over 80% of people with disabilities face unemployment, Bitty & Beau’s is creating real opportunity, dignity, and belonging. “I was introduced to this place recently and I love it. It is a hole-in-the-wall bar but a bit more upscale than some other places I’ve been to. They have a variety of beers as well as your regulars like Michelobe. I’ve had their burger and grilled cheese so far and it is great - a female chef cooks and she is awesome. The bartenders are good and try to make it a point to know and remember who you are. It’s a bit far from where I live but I’ll make the trip at least once a week to visit. It is a place that will become a regular place I frequent since I moved.“

New favorite: Generous portions, not too pricey, gluten free granola. The smoothie was also sooo good and not watery. I was full for the rest of the day. I’ve been tempted to order the same thing every day since and I definitely might visit them for lunch this week a couple times.“

He receives the Order make sure it’s what the customer wants, ask if he needs to add or take anything off. Not to mention he takes his time but in a fast orderly way and packs it and calls my name. Then brings it to me! Even though I can’t see him smiling under that mask you can tell he does a lot to be a Young Leader. Keep it up Sir!
