Food: Only ordered pupusas. They're a decent size & filled well. Curtido is good, but tomato sauce is watery & flavorless. (According to father who is from El Salvador).
Service: Had 1 woman take my party's ordered and then disappeared. I stood at the counter to ask for an extra cup where a woman from the kitchen looked straight at me & ignore me 3 times. I have looked all over Jacksonville for good papusas, and have tried 4-5 other places first. Maria’s has THE BEST papusas in Jacksonville!! Any time I want papusas, I go here. My favorite are the chicharron y queso. They are always so hot, so fresh, so gooey and fat. They are never flat. They have the best flavor! If you want papusas, that taste just like Ma made them, you have to go here! It brings me back to my childhood every time. So perfect!
