I loved not seeing hookas or loud music. While I love my Dominican culture, sometimes that vibe attracts the wrong kind of people. We tried the cheese balls and OMG these were scrumptious. Pipping hot, crispy and golden on the outside and creamy and cheesy on the inside. Then we tried the original chimi. It's been YEARS since I've had one like this. The bread took me back to my childhood visiting family in DR. The meat is exactly what I remember from og chimi's in DR and the sandwich itself was perfection. So much so that we wanted seconds! I'm looking forward to trying the rest of their offerings and can't wait to come back!“

“Great sandwhiches, came here b/c it was .1 mile from my hotel. Located in the 999 building, go inside person at the front can direct you, but as you walk in go towards the left and it's the 1st door on the right (I almost passed it - has a small little business door plaque) I got the Johlano, good balance of flavors ( salty/savory from the meat, sweet from the fig jam, and peppery fresh bite of arugala. The worker gave me a free pistachio tres leches cake! It's yummy fresh tasting, ok alittle sweet but would pair well with coffee. I wanted to try get a cold sandwich togo but it's only one worker who is working the register and building sandwiches. I waited about 15min for the sandwich and unfortunately had to be somewhere. I plan to come back during my stay here in Miami.“

“Fantastic spot! Out of all the coffee spots I have gone to its the best taste. They really make it fresh and no reuse the coffee grounds. Best Cafe Con Leche. For the price and the quality, I have yet to find anything better. The food is very flexible and the owners are very friendly and willing to make the adjustments to your needs.“

The prices are good and this subway, like many (but not all), gives you a coupon for your next visit on the receipt. You can get a six inch sub for $3 or a sub and chips for $4 or a free sub with purchase. For me - this is great! I love getting good wholesome food at an amazing price. The daily specials are awesome - especially on Friday. I love the tuna sub. The ladies are nice - they toast the honey oat bread with swiss cheese first and then add the tuna and fixings. Yummy!!!“
