Great place. The ladies that worked the Greene St. shop are so sweet and friendly.
When I worked for the Conch Tour Train it was my go-to at the Stop 3 😁
I've moved since mid 2022. If I get the chance to visit, I will definitely stop in for a cup of coffee and their delicious emenadas 😀
Delicious breakfast of cinnamon butter toast and cafe con leche
We go to Ana’s almost every morning. They are so kind! The food is delicious and the Cafe con leche is to die for.
Every day we put in order for 2 Cafe con leche, large, and rice, black beans and plantains, yummy.
This morning my wife Cher, whose birthday is on 3/7 was given Key West Spoon by outside gentleman employee. It was such a spontaneous kind gesture, touched our hearts. Especially since Cher is dealing with terminal stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

Ana's Cafe and Southernmost Grocery is a popular local spot in Key West, offering good food, drinks, and basic groceries at reasonable prices compared to nearby hotels and resorts. The cafe is known for its friendly staff, who are quick, smiling, and often remember customers' names, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The porch provides a fun place for people watching while enjoying a latte, beer, or other beverages, making it a favorite spot for both locals and visitors.
The cafe serves excellent breakfast and lunch options, with standout items like the breakfast sandwich, Cuban coffee—including colada, cortadito, and cafe con leche—and authentic Cuban dishes such as the classic Cuban sandwich and Medianoche. Many visitors find these meals delicious and authentic, often taking leftovers to go due to generous portions. Coffee lovers especially appreciate the cafe con leche, with some enjoying a cup every morning during their stay. The grocery section is useful for necessities and alcoholic beverages, and many customers have taken bags of coffee home as souvenirs.
Though busy during peak season, the restaurant is highly recommended for its good food, friendly energy, and authentic Cuban flavor. Limited outdoor seating suggests that takeout may be preferable, but the overall experience makes it a key part of a trip to Key West. The establishment closes at 10 pm, making it convenient for evening visits.
