Stopped in at Ovation Bistro in Davenport tonight for dinner with a few friends.
First big shout out to our server Jason, our Brit server was engaging, entertaining and very professional - I wish I could clone him and bring him to every restaurant we go to - way to go Jason!
Thursday special is smoked Prime Rib - wonderful piece of meat wish it was just a little less medium and more medium rare but still had a ton of flavor and was very tender. My side was the Brussel Sprouts - nicely cooked but a little too sweet for my taste but I do have to say I did finish them off so I guess they were good enough for me LOL. I also had for my side the French Onion Soup - one of my favorites, very cheesy with a great rich broth and tons of onions - super good.
Glad we stopped in, Thursday special really delivered and great to get together with good friends.“

“Love the staff and food. Tried the restaurant after the renovation and the new items added to the menu are awesome. Everything is hot and fresh. Home made pickles are a tasty garnish. The French fries are lightly seasoned and thick crinkle cut. Golden texture is great and you don’t even need ketchup. The pulled bbq is our fav along with the Mac n cheese. Best out there. The owner comes around to Check on the tables and the staff are so friendly, you feel like part of the family. Can’t wait to go back. Breanna was our server tonight and she is sweet as the bbq sauce and took great care of us, great service.“

“I love bringing their food on my food tours! They have a great selection and everything is sooo tasty! One time I brought their calzone on my tour and I asked the couple afterwards if they loved it. Of course they did. I then shared that it was vegan and they literally gasped at me. Turns out the mother has a daughter-in-law who's vegan coming to visit, and she didn't know that Winter Haven had such diversity. Our community is amazing!“

“I made reservations for my family since it suggested it on their website. My husband ,3 sons and I arrived and the hostess brought us to a table that was waiting for us! That was a pleasant and appreciated surprise to not have to wait. Our server,Jordyn was attentive and friendly she had perfect timing with drinks appetizers , main courses and desserts. We ordered 3 appetizers for the table and 5 different meals as well as two desserts for us each to have a sample of. Everything was not only full of flavor and perfectly prepared but also absolutely beautifully plated. We had a pleasant conversation with the owner ,Cindy, and she answered our questions about some of the flavors that we couldn’t quite place. We also discussed the history of the restaurant. It’s nice to see owners/managers in the dining area. We will come again soon and recommend this establishment to our friends and family. Thank You all“

“We had the most amazing dinner at Arabellas tonight❤️ from the moment we walked in, everyone was so welcoming and professional❤️they were very knowledgeable from start to finish❤️the timing between courses was perfect❤️ I chose Steak Lady Diana (made table side) and the Trio (lobster, shrimp, and scallops to share before the steak because I couldn't decide what to eat😂). “It’s probably only a Wednesday special, but the Prime Rib Melt was the best I’ve ever had, and as a pilot flying all around the country for 40 years and eating out all the time - that’s saying something. It was loaded with meat and big! For 11$ I took half home and made 2 meals out of it. Wonderful!“

The service was excellent from start to finish—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which really elevated the experience. The salads were spectacular: fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The meats, while cooked well, were a bit on the bland side and could have used a little more seasoning or depth of flavor. But the meal ended on a high note with their carrot cake, which was absolutely perfect—moist, rich, and full of delicious spice without being overly sweet. “I recently attended a private catered event at Flightline Cafe . We had a delicious buffet meal Salmon , Parmesan Chicken Breast , Sweet Baby Carrots. Garlic Mashed potatoes and tasty Broccoli and cheeses . Started the buffet with a delicious tossed salad with all the fixing . Washed it down with sweet tea and lemonade. The bar has top shelf drinks that keep you going back for more . Service was impeccable. If you ever need a place to have a function Flightline Cafe should be one of your top choices as kudos to the owners“

“Ok, so I see some negative comments on here about Mannys. I have been going to the one on 27 for a little over 10 years. Usually at least twice a month. I have NOT had the experience these people have and wonder if their expectations were beyond attainable and no matter how good things were they would still have a complaint. My girlfriend and I love this place. I have never had a badly cooked steak and the prime rib my girlfriend gets is what she wants. I would not under any circumstances continue to patron a restaurant if it were not good. Having lived in west Texas for almost two decades, I know a good steak. If your expectations are that high, maybe stay home and cook one yourself. You are your own worst critic.“

“We had breakfast this morning for Veterans Day. Of course they were slammed. Outstanding staff from the moment we walked in until the moment we walked out. We had to wait for our food but while we waiting we noticed how well the staff worked together. The wait staff was complimenting the kitchen and wait staff helped one another. “This is our go-to place for ribs. We saw where they have steak on Saturday nights so we gave it a try. This is also now our place for steak. My wife and I got the 8 oz filet and my brother got the 16 oz ribeye. This is the best steak in Polk county. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.“
