“The bar tender, a little mouse of a man, was rude. Went out of his way to insure my draft was mostly foam! He even said he didn’t like me. Was a complete ass. Everything ven the other patrons noticed. Anyway I paid my bill and even tipped the little basterd!“

New management has breathed new life into this failing operation.
Very good food with a small menu. Staff is excellent, they come from behind the bar to wait on tables.
Lots of activities including trivia, karaoke and holiday parties.“

“I lived in Lake Wales for over twenty years and I love Al’s Place the friendliest bar in town, remind me of the old tv show “Cheers “ when everyone knows your name. The beer is cold, the food delicious and they give you plenty. On your first trip there you will get initiated with the yardstick and become a member of the family group. My son and daughter got me back in Pennsylvania as I age to see that I have proper care, but promise me every so often the would bring me back to Lake Wales to visit all my old friend. Looking forward to February at when they celebrate the the holiday Mardi Gras and have a great time with all my old friends…..It’s a pleasure…Thank You.“

“Always do a great job when they have steamed crabs. I got a dozen today. All larges and very heavy. It was a taste from home. Pitt Beef was good as well. Only thing missing is a snow ball.“

“Ovation Bistro & Bar in Winter Haven is a wonderful place to enjoy a relaxed, satisfying meal. The service was excellent from start to finish—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which really elevated the experience. The salads were spectacular: fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The meats, while cooked well, were a bit on the bland side and could have used a little more seasoning or depth of flavor. But the meal ended on a high note with their carrot cake, which was absolutely perfect—moist, rich, and full of delicious spice without being overly sweet. Overall, a great dining experience with standout service and amazing salads, with just a little room for improvement on the entrées. Would happily return!“

“Skyline Lounge at LEGOLAND was such a wonderful surprise! The service was outstanding from start to finish—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food was incredibly flavorful, and the salads were truly amazing: fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of great textures and taste. Everything felt thoughtfully made rather than “theme park standard.” A perfect place to relax, enjoy a delicious meal, and feel well taken care of. Highly recommend!“

“My husband and I had dinner here last night for a friend’s final day at work. We live in Lakeland so this was our first time at this location. We had Braxton as our server and he was an absolute rockstar. Fast, prompt, and charming! He did a great job, and our table was very well taken care of. Honestly, we had such a great time, we may just start coming up to winter haven just to go to Chilis! Thanks for a great evening! Oh, and the lemon drop marg is a revelation. 🙌🏼💖“
