“This was our first time here. We are not from the area. We were so impressed with the plates. My husband is not a healthy eater but loved his Martin sandwich. It is the first pic I posted. He loved everything about it! He said the onion wrap was strong and really grew on him. He loved the jalapeño addition!
I had the taco salad… it was so it’s better than I ever imagined! I will definitely drive the 2+ hours it takes to get back to Sarasota to eat at this restaurant again and also purchase some of the sauces they use and bring them home! I guess they are involved in a farmers market nearby on Saturdays, where they sell a lot of their products which I am also excited to go to.

“The food and service did not disappoint. My wife had the mahi tuna salad. It was excellent and crunchy as described on the menu I had scallops. They were perfectly cooked and very tender. Service was very good. Everything arrived timely hot, and the waiter did not hover have eaten at hundreds of restaurants and this is one of the better onesnot exceptionally expensive and in a mall but quite good food and service and I highly recommend.“

“My wife and I came to the Ellenton area on our honeymoon. Her local family reccomended we check out Woodys River Roo. It was our first stop and the only repeat stop during our week down here. We went to "The Roo" on three separate occasions and loved each one. The food was great, the view of the manatee river was very nice, but the friendly hardworking staff was the cherry on top. They all really seemed to love each other and worked together like a well oiled machine. They made us feel right at home and made sure everything was just right. Bar tender Johnny, who I belive said had been employed there for 15 years, reccomended a lot of other great places to drink and dine in the area. They also have a gift shop and live entertainment from, music to trivia 7 days a week! 10 out of 10 would reccomend. My wife and I hope to be back sooner than later!“

“I was in the area on a work trip and one of my co-workers recommended me visiting Siesta Village while here. After watching the sunset and very quick search of best places to eat near me, I decided to stop at The Cottage. Best decision I made. First the host didn't treat me any differently when I said I was dining alone. She was friendly and took me to a nice spot so I could listen to the live music. Then Cecelia....she was an absolute gem. Incredibly friendly and did NOT steer me wrong when I was stuck between ordering the Lobster Maki Sushi or the Seared Scallops. Based on her recommendation, I went with the Lobster Maki Sushi and it was the best decision. The flavors and mix of lobster with the shaved teriyaki tenderloin with just the right amount of char smoke was perfect...I cleaned my plate. But before that, I started with a bowl of the lobster bisque. I have eaten a lot of lobster bisque...it's one of my favorite soups. BUT the lobster bisque at The Cottage was one of the BEST I've ever had....certainly my absolute favorite! And on top of the amazing Cecelia and sweet host, I was checked in on by a wonderful woman who asked how I was, what I ordered, how I enjoyed everything...just made me feel so welcomed and at home...which helps a lot when you're stuck eating out alone. I didn't even know she was the GM until the very end when she introduced herself to me and we shared how I have a bracelet to follow a sea turtle and she has one to follow an elephant. If you haven't tried The Cottage yet, go now! I wish I was here longer so that I can go back again before leaving, but I'll make sure to be back next time I'm in town. In the meantime, I'll dream about that lobster bisque (and my delicious Mango Mule with Tito's).“

Not only did this place deliver, I have come back time and time again since receiving the same incredible service and atmosphere Ryan and his team brings. “These guys are simply amazing!! And their cakes (and cupcakes) are so incredibly delicious!!! When ever I need something specially made, they do a perfect job every single time. I am not able to have gluten or dairy and you would never know that their cakes are GF and vegan (they make regular cakes as well but for obvious reasons, I have not had those lol!). “Fresh delicious food, low prices. If you find the bowls too pricey, you can go on the app and order a la carte items, sides are $2.75-4.75 each and Protein a la carte main options start at $5.75 mushrooms $5.80-7.50 for the chicken ,up to $9 for their grass fed steak . Salmon at $10.25
Lots of vegan and vegetarian options the mushrooms are amazing and most sides are gluten free and dairy free the Mac and cheese sadly is not.
But it's better than Panera their cheddar Mac is $10.49 now! compared to naked farmer at just $4.75! it's my hubby's new favorite treat he's been craving their mac n cheese since he first tried it.“

is easily one of my new favorite spots for Asian cuisine. The orange chicken was outstanding — crispy on the outside, tender inside, and coated in the perfect balance of sweet and tangy sauce. Easily the best I’ve had in a long time.

The sushi was just as impressive — fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. Every roll tasted carefully crafted, and the presentation made it feel extra special.

It’s in A swank part of Rosemary District in downtown Sarasota. Very active street with lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. Really liked their kale Cesar salad!“
