“Fabulous local cafe in downtown Sarasota located on Main St. near Lemon Ave! I started coming here around 10 years ago when Starbucks closed for renovations so this was my morning go to place on my bus layover and I’ve been a patron ever since. Although it’s changed hands a couple of times they’ve always had a very friendly staff and wonderful daily made pastry’s and treats…the coffee is great as well! If you’re downtown I highly suggest trying them out!“

“Just got back from breakfast at Turner’s Donuts and everything about it was fantastic. The atmosphere is giving old-school diner and the donuts are made in house using a special potato yeast. The prices are crazy cheap for such good food - We got 2 donuts, 2 croissant breakfast sandwiches and 2 medium coffees for $15! Plus the sandwiches were ready about 2 min after we ordered them. The owners are super nice as well. Would highly recommend checking this place out!“

“We had the opportunity to try horchata, zambos with slices and thick hoe meat as lunch and with slices, exceptional flavor, if you want to feel in Honduras, this Restaurant meets the requirements, the food is delicious and they have a lot of variety, as well as Hinduras drinks in Bottle, the place is spacious to be able to arrive with the family. The waiting time is reasonable.“

“This restaurant just opened at the beginning of August, and we did our first on-line order last night. I can’t say enough about how great the food was! Sometimes “fusion” can get a bit strange, but Chef Razo has created some fabulous dishes. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and all the flavors were amazing. We absolutely loved the Arrachera Dinner (skirt steak) and paired it with the Saffron Yellow Rice. What a combo!! We also split the shrimp with 3 flavors and the crab cakes. They had wonderful sauces to accompany them. And who expected a side salad to stand out as well? It was topped with a half of a perfectly ripe avocado and the unique salad dressing on the side was delicious with a bit of zip. While we are not big eaters, we felt the portions were generous as we had leftovers for lunch. We will definitely be ordering again as there are so many other things we want to try on a very interesting menu.“

“I've been addicted to pork ribs, especially St. Louis ribs, since I lived and worked in the St. Louis area in 1966-1968. So wherever we are, wherever we travel, I always look for a good barbecue restaurant. Ribs are ribs, whether they come from St. Louis or Memphis or Austin or Kansas City or Charleston. So you can imagine my feelings when we discovered Perry's Roadside BBQ in Sarasota, Florida. Located at 936 42nd Street, on Route 41, north of Sarasota Jungle Gardens, Perry's offers a rack of ribs, pulled pork, beef brisket, smoked chicken and pulled chicken with a sweet, tangy sauce. Also baked beans, potato salad, corn bread, coleslaw and sweet potato pie. Open from 11 to 6 Thursday, Friday and Saturday only, Perry's offers a pleasant change of pace from the usual seafood fare. After considerable sampling, my wife and I finally decided that the best option for Perry's three-meat family meal that serves four to six but satisfies the two of us to a tee. It includes one rack or St. Louis ribs, four pieces of chicken, one pound of beef brisket, coleslaw, baked beans and potato salad. You'd be surprised how often there isn't anything left. Then, again, maybe you wouldn't be surprised.“

“I worked at the Bradenton Bakery as a production technician/sponge mixer and I was responsible for getting the process of making the bread started. I mixed all the ingredients into a huge dough mixer and after it fermented for about an hour I pulled the troughs of dough, that weighed over 2000 pounds, onto a lift that raised it up and dumped the dough into the main mixers. It was a very hard and hot job but I loved working there. My experience with the company as a whole was awesome. I recommend to anyone that doesn't mind working hard and getting great pay and benefits to apply there. The human resources department folks are just wonderful and will treat you very well.“

Eggs were cold. Waiter brought out what appeared like a mandatory 20 percent gratuity. I complained to my waiter and to my family from out of town. Will walk across street next time.“
