“The traditional Cuban sandwich is out of this world, the croquetas are perfectly crispy, and the mamey shake is pure heaven. The other day, my coworkers and I tried their delivery service—expected in 40 minutes, but just 5 minutes later it was already on the way, fresh and perfect. Everything arrived super fast and with amazing quality. Highly recommended!“

“Our first time here with our shy rescue dog and we were welcomed warmly. Our waitress brought over large bowl of ice water for him. The eggs Benedict and shrimp with grits dishes were presented nicely and were so delicious 😋. Will be coming back to this sweet neighborhood gem. Staff so friendly. Nice size portions. Wine was delicious too!“

“As a member of both the Sarasota Museum of Art and OLLI, I frequently have lunch at Bistro. Although the prices are a bit high, it’s a delightful spot for a delicious meal or coffee with a crisp croissant, scrumptious brownie or corn cookie. I don’t know if the restaurant’s revenue benefits the above cultural entities, which I hope it does, its off-the-beaten-path location and, therefore, limited pool of customers justifies the prices. I have never been disappointed in the always fresh and interesting food or in the prompt service. The Bistro is light and bright, the decor is artsy and welcoming and it’s such a convenient place to go after or before enjoying a cultural activity!“

“An iced coffee or latte should not be poured over the ice hot. You should have premade espresso or coffee and that is put on the ice.
When you pour hot liquids over ice, you do nothing but water them down and melt the ice.
The food was decent, not overly impressed. The price is a little high. Maybe it's just the area.“

“We really enjoyed our visits to North Shore Café during our trip. The latte was excellent—the caramel flavor tasted fresh and high quality (not sure if it’s made in-house, but it definitely stood out). The avocado toast on sourdough with lime and red chili flakes was so good—I ended up getting it twice during our week-long vacation. It was fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. Just be prepared—it’s very busy. There’s no option to order ahead for pickup, and on both a Tuesday and Friday morning, it took at least 30 minutes just to place an order. On a whim, I also tried the strawberry cookies, but unfortunately they were pretty bland and not very flavorful—I only took a bite before tossing them. Overall, just a small disappointment compared to how great everything else was. Definitely a spot I’d come back to!“
