“My name is Cody and I don't always do reviews but i like this place so much I had to a review. I had the lobster mac and cheese. My pops had 3 tacos with seafood. My uncle had a I believe was a fish wrap. The food was amazing mmmmmm hats off to the chief. The drinks were great, good mixture. Margarita was good. The price for seafood and the amazing food was surprising. Our Waitress Mikayla was great made sure we were happy and has a great laugh. They have TV's might be going here for nfl sports.“

I’m not sure who answered the phone, but we dealt with him twice and I really have not seen that type of Customer service in a long time.“

You can tell she has been serving for a while because she has that rare ability to anticipate what you need without being overbearing. She was professional, personable, and made us feel truly taken care of from beginning to end.

Servers like her are a huge part of what makes people want to return to a restaurant. Great food may bring you in once, but exceptional service is what makes you want to come back again and again. She is absolutely an asset to J. Alexander’s, and I hope management knows how much of a positive impact she has on the guest experience. She deserves to be recognized!“

“My favorite place since I tried 2 months ago, I’ll go for lunch almost everyday, mostly Boca and Wellington. Im fasting so it’s the most tasty nutritious food I’ve got. The staff is amazing and the cleanliness even in bathrooms is top. I always get the small bowl and always ask for a bonus 1/2 spoon of beans and they always give it with a big smile, not this time. Today I tried the Alton one, I had high expectations. First impression was that it was weird starting the line backwards from the right. The operator was friendly but not when I asked for a tin of beans, 1/4 spoon the most… She said no and she wanted to sell me a cup as an extra. I declined, was rude, then I see the line dirty, stuff looked cold. The other operator was afraid to serve too much shrimp and the feta he spread it crumble by crumble, I was amazed of his skills. Those 2 company money savers fighting for the employee of the month. One thing I like at Bolay is to grab my metal good solid forks, this time I couldn’t, not available. The food was tasty as usual but the temperatures were inconsistent, the colds not too cool and the hots warms. Then after sitting the trash overflowing and dirty bowls piling up were a view that you can’t stop looking at it, under my table on the floor smashed veggies. When I’m leaving I’m looking at the other stations and look the same. I avoided use the bathrooms at that point to wash hands as usual. It wasn’t a staff shortage issue, plenty of labor, customer line clear. These guys went through the pick of rush in lunch time with not interval cleanings. So disappointing see that awesome concept lowing the bar so bad. At the end is all management. Not going back there, I mean, that one in Alton but people, you definitely gotta try it somewhere else and get hook by them. Wellington and Boca In Military staff is the best. Hope Alton improve.“

“I went to the Longhorn Steakhouse on Donald Ross Road last week. I have been to this location several times and I always ask for KEVIN as my server as he is wonderful no matter how busy he may be. The food is always consistent and good. Highly recommend!“

“Was in the area for work and decided to stop in for lunch. I’m not much of a bbq guy, but was in the mood for something different today. I was greeted by a pleasant young lady, I believe her name was Bella. After explaining that I’m not a huge bbq fan, she recommended I try the pulled pork w Mac cheese, saying it has a lot of flavor but too much smoke. She was 100% correct and I enjoyed every bite. I will definitely be back next time I’m in the area, and will look forward to other suggestions from her or your staff. Great experience.“

“Obviously, not every item at every restaurant is equal. If you want a tasty New York strip and loaded baked potato with asparagus, Boonies is the best kept secret in the area. The cheeseburger at medium or medium well is good as well. I don't like not having a choice of all-flats in wings, but you can't win them all. The beer is nice and cold. The bar area is nicely sized. The wait staff are friendly and attentive. If you go there a couple of times, they remember what you like. The music is sometimes a bit too much of that senseless type of rock from the early 90's but it's mostly decent music. Boonies is a reliable place to get a good lunch at a very fair price.“

We live in the Acreage, and were very lucky to have this place in the neighborhood.“
