And the table needs napkin at the foot to stabilize it. By the time we leave, the restaurant is still empty. #2, when ordering Pinot Noir, the server offers two choices. Since I don't know any of the brands, I chose Oregon over California, as Pinot Noir is their thing. In my little experience with this kind of caliber, they’d offer me a taste, and they do, just not to me. The server returned and said, the CA one is drier. I ended up with CA, which is decent.Modern decor with high ceiling, in dark hue. We get there a few minutes before 4, which is their opening time. Thinking we can ask if any openings for us. Guest top bartender Sante (also my GGF's name) in town from Stockholm made me a blueberry gin-tonic (with Swedish gin). Delicious surf/turf gourmet Swedish cuisine recommended by Patrick. At one point, I think I heard my GGF's spirit say Skål (which is cheers in Swedish). Noooo that was the bartender saying that!“

I tried the sunrise burger which is the breakfast burger (yum!). The food came out relatively quick for how packed it was. The service was nice as well in the midst of a busy night. The kitchen overcooked my husbands burger though, which is why I am giving it 4 stars. He ordered medium rare and it was well done with not a hint of pink. He was fine with it but that's quite the overcooking and something I wouldn't have been as ok with.“

They do free concerts here , the first time we came they were celebrating Spanish Heritage month and had all sorts of activities for the children . From bounce houses and slides to Choo Choo Trains . You can come spend an evening with your family and make it a picnic by packing a cooler or if mom or in my case nana is looking for a cooking break they have plenty of food trucks . Took the kids again this evening and they had a band , dancers and cute booths from food to craft ( I love homemade items ) for sale . The children’s playground is always open and very clean . “Service was amazing. I think her name is Kiera (worked cashier in drive thru at 8:45 PM on March 20th) but she went above and beyond to take care of my order. I had my dog with me so she made sure he got a pup cup, and also came all the way out to my car to make sure the drinks tasted okay. If I was management, I would make sure this young lady got a promotion ASAP in order to retain an individual with this level of integrity. Will be coming back based purely on service and how pleasant Kiera was.“

“My favorite place since I tried 2 months ago, I’ll go for lunch almost everyday, mostly Boca and Wellington. Im fasting so it’s the most tasty nutritious food I’ve got. The staff is amazing and the cleanliness even in bathrooms is top. I always get the small bowl and always ask for a bonus 1/2 spoon of beans and they always give it with a big smile, not this time. Today I tried the Alton one, I had high expectations. First impression was that it was weird starting the line backwards from the right. The operator was friendly but not when I asked for a tin of beans, 1/4 spoon the most… She said no and she wanted to sell me a cup as an extra. I declined, was rude, then I see the line dirty, stuff looked cold. The other operator was afraid to serve too much shrimp and the feta he spread it crumble by crumble, I was amazed of his skills. Those 2 company money savers fighting for the employee of the month. One thing I like at Bolay is to grab my metal good solid forks, this time I couldn’t, not available. The food was tasty as usual but the temperatures were inconsistent, the colds not too cool and the hots warms. Then after sitting the trash overflowing and dirty bowls piling up were a view that you can’t stop looking at it, under my table on the floor smashed veggies. When I’m leaving I’m looking at the other stations and look the same. I avoided use the bathrooms at that point to wash hands as usual. It wasn’t a staff shortage issue, plenty of labor, customer line clear. These guys went through the pick of rush in lunch time with not interval cleanings. So disappointing see that awesome concept lowing the bar so bad. At the end is all management. Not going back there, I mean, that one in Alton but people, you definitely gotta try it somewhere else and get hook by them. Wellington and Boca In Military staff is the best. Hope Alton improve.“

“For the first time in a while, I came on a Sunday morning. The manager, Lola, greeted myself and my toddler daughter and took us to our section. She said we could sit at any table, so we took one in the corner. She came by our table a few times throughout our brunch to make sure we were taken care of. Towards the end of our meal, she suprised my daughter with a toy from the dispensers at the entrance. I know everyone working there was super busy, but was a really sweet and nice gesture to take the time out of her busy day to put a smile on her face. We go at least 1-2 times per week and they now know us by name. Amber, the owner, was helping the other day and was greeting everyone. She was so nice, gracious and appreciated our business. The sweet Potato fries were Cooked Perfectly a little crunch with soft center and full of flavor. My dessert was amazing. I got the cookie ice cream sandwich. The cookies were warm and the vanilla ice cream rich and creamy with a strong vanilla flavor. I chose not to have the whipped cream and choc. Sauce and I am so glad I did otherwise the flavors of the delicious cookies and ice cream would have been buried. An amazing meal!“
