“We had a fantastic takeout experience so we are coming back to join for the ambience next time. The food was delicious. They changed the menu all the time. They work with special requests, which is incredibly unusual with a restaurant that has this type of Craft. Very accommodating and the food is outstanding. When my husband picked up the food, he said we’ve got to go back. You’ll love the place. I’m not sure who answered the phone, but we dealt with him twice and I really have not seen that type of Customer service in a long time.“

Calamari- so good! Probably the best I've had. T
It was tender, flavorful, light and crispy with a delicious marinara for dipping. Highly recommend!

Filet kabobs- cooked to medium, very tender. The sauce was very good.

Steak and fries- large portion of steak, cooked to medium rare, very tender and juicy. Came with shoestring fries.

new York strip- cooked to medium rare, also perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. Came with macaroni and cheese.

Cypress salad - great salad with friend chicken. I ordered both ranch and white wine vinaigrette on the side and dipped each bite. Very filling!

Macaroni n cheese- i think the secret ingredient is cream cheese (I'm guessing). Its very rich and cheesy and has a bit of tang to it, hence my cream cheese guess.

Key lime pie- AMAZING! The crust and the filling are both divine!

Carrot cake- oh my! Also AMAZING!

If you're stuffed after dinner, definitely order desserts to go.

“My favorite place since I tried 2 months ago, I’ll go for lunch almost everyday, mostly Boca and Wellington. Im fasting so it’s the most tasty nutritious food I’ve got. The staff is amazing and the cleanliness even in bathrooms is top. I always get the small bowl and always ask for a bonus 1/2 spoon of beans and they always give it with a big smile, not this time. Today I tried the Alton one, I had high expectations. First impression was that it was weird starting the line backwards from the right. The operator was friendly but not when I asked for a tin of beans, 1/4 spoon the most… She said no and she wanted to sell me a cup as an extra. I declined, was rude, then I see the line dirty, stuff looked cold. The other operator was afraid to serve too much shrimp and the feta he spread it crumble by crumble, I was amazed of his skills. Those 2 company money savers fighting for the employee of the month. One thing I like at Bolay is to grab my metal good solid forks, this time I couldn’t, not available. The food was tasty as usual but the temperatures were inconsistent, the colds not too cool and the hots warms. Then after sitting the trash overflowing and dirty bowls piling up were a view that you can’t stop looking at it, under my table on the floor smashed veggies. When I’m leaving I’m looking at the other stations and look the same. I avoided use the bathrooms at that point to wash hands as usual. It wasn’t a staff shortage issue, plenty of labor, customer line clear. These guys went through the pick of rush in lunch time with not interval cleanings. So disappointing see that awesome concept lowing the bar so bad. At the end is all management. Not going back there, I mean, that one in Alton but people, you definitely gotta try it somewhere else and get hook by them. Wellington and Boca In Military staff is the best. Hope Alton improve.“

“Deli-Licious has some of the best sandwiches around! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made to order. The bread was soft, the ingredients tasted high quality, and the portions were generous. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great sandwich!“

“Preston was an amazing server. He showed my girl friend and I an amazing time. I could feel how much he wanted us to enjoy our experience. “Food is great but hostesses leave much to be desired when it comes to delighting the guest. Party of 3, made a reservation, came in and was going to be seated in the middle Of the restaurant at a noisy table. I explained my husband has hearing loss and could we sit at one of the 3 empty booths behind us. Hostess said we’d have to wait an hour. We left and enjoyed a lovely dinner in Tap 42.“

“I went to the Longhorn Steakhouse on Donald Ross Road last week. I have been to this location several times and I always ask for KEVIN as my server as he is wonderful no matter how busy he may be. The food is always consistent and good. Highly recommend!“

“My wife and I had a great time at the Dancing Crane last night. Food and drinks were excellent. Even perfect cappuccinos with desert. We had an enjoyable conversation with the manager and bartender...both very nice guys. Going back after the holidays for a Sunday brunch. We live in the Acreage, and were very lucky to have this place in the neighborhood.“

“My family and I were browsing through Google for a new restaurant to try and we stumbled upon Waxins. When we arrived, we were seated at a beautiful, round six-top table in the corner with comfortable seats and fantastic ambiance.

Our server, Ryan, was very helpful with suggestions and extremely patient answering all of our questions. As for the food, we loved everything. We highly recommend the Beef Carpaccio, Toast Skagen, Swedish Meatballs, Beef Rydberg and Truffle Pasta. We also had four desserts and all were delicious but the Cinnamon Bun was the biggest crowd pleaser.

I can’t finish up this review without mentioning their HotShots. If you’re in the mood for an alcoholic dessert, all I can say is, don’t pass it up.

“The covered outdoor seating was great to watch a fierce lightning storm and enjoy food and drinks. The truffle fries are a drug, delicious! Their mocktails cost the same amount as the alcoholic version which was shameful. The way they did their brussel sprouts was unique and delicious.“

“We love the vibe of this diner! We had a chance to have a staycation here at the resort and had breakfast here each morning. Our server Elvira was so personable and made for great conversation as we sat outside and enjoyed the greens.Both mornings I got the short rib hash and wowza were the portions, generous, and the taste spot on. Everything that we had was really fresh. What made this place stand out was true to the name. There are quite a few birds that hang out as well outside in every so often they get shooed away. For some this would be a nuisance, however it actually was amusing and added to the experience.

I absolutely would return for the short rib hash. It’s the type of hearty meal that keeps you going all throughout the day. And a shout out to our server Elvira, who give us such fun context about the place and brought us lots of joy!“

“Great as always! We ordered the chicken lettuce wraps for apps delicious snd light! Love the whole grain bread as well! Got Mai tai's (definitely felt the liquor hit)! The lunch plates we got (chose the dinner size portions) : The grilled salmon, cajun salmon , and chicken avocado salad. I also get there cookie dough cheesecake sooo yummy! 10 out of 10 always! While the chicken is always a hit, I have to highlight the sides because they steal the show: the steamed carrots are incredibly flavorful, and the mashed potatoes with that rich mushroom gravy are pure comfort in a bowl. Bonus points for being located in a plaza with an ample shared parking lot, making it a stress-free lunch or dinner stop. Will definitely be back!“
