“This place was amazing! I’m surprised there’s no reviews here yet. The cocktails were unique and absolutely delicious. I had a strawberry matcha tini and it might have been the best drink I’ve had in a long time. And I like trying unique foods, so I tried their lamb burger, the honey goat cheese paired with the sauce was phenomenal and it was cooked perfectly! Would highly recommended this place. 5 stars across the board.“

“Preston was an amazing server. He showed my girl friend and I an amazing time. I could feel how much he wanted us to enjoy our experience. Justin the manager also took care of us and checked on us multiple times. Over all an amazing experience thanks to Preston and the whole staff! Will definitely be coming back.“

“We had a fantastic takeout experience so we are coming back to join for the ambience next time. The food was delicious. They changed the menu all the time. They work with special requests, which is incredibly unusual with a restaurant that has this type of Craft. Very accommodating and the food is outstanding. When my husband picked up the food, he said we’ve got to go back. You’ll love the place. I’m not sure who answered the phone, but we dealt with him twice and I really have not seen that type of Customer service in a long time.“

“The covered outdoor seating was great to watch a fierce lightning storm and enjoy food and drinks. The truffle fries are a drug, delicious! Their mocktails cost the same amount as the alcoholic version which was shameful. The way they did their brussel sprouts was unique and delicious.“

“I’ve been going to bolay for a while and the food is always delicious. The service is excellent and impeccable. Andrenique always greets me with a smile and makes sure I feel a welcome. Definitely would recommend for a quick and healthy lunch.“

“We ordered the following for lunch:
Calamari- so good! Probably the best I've had. T
It was tender, flavorful, light and crispy with a delicious marinara for dipping. Highly recommend!

Filet kabobs- cooked to medium, very tender. The sauce was very good.

Steak and fries- large portion of steak, cooked to medium rare, very tender and juicy. Came with shoestring fries.

new York strip- cooked to medium rare, also perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. Came with macaroni and cheese.

Cypress salad - great salad with friend chicken. I ordered both ranch and white wine vinaigrette on the side and dipped each bite. Very filling!

Macaroni n cheese- i think the secret ingredient is cream cheese (I'm guessing). Its very rich and cheesy and has a bit of tang to it, hence my cream cheese guess.

Key lime pie- AMAZING! The crust and the filling are both divine!

Carrot cake- oh my! Also AMAZING!

If you're stuffed after dinner, definitely order desserts to go.

“My family and I were browsing through Google for a new restaurant to try and we stumbled upon Waxins. When we arrived, we were seated at a beautiful, round six-top table in the corner with comfortable seats and fantastic ambiance.

Our server, Ryan, was very helpful with suggestions and extremely patient answering all of our questions. As for the food, we loved everything. We highly recommend the Beef Carpaccio, Toast Skagen, Swedish Meatballs, Beef Rydberg and Truffle Pasta. We also had four desserts and all were delicious but the Cinnamon Bun was the biggest crowd pleaser.

I can’t finish up this review without mentioning their HotShots. If you’re in the mood for an alcoholic dessert, all I can say is, don’t pass it up.

“My favorite place since I tried 2 months ago, I’ll go for lunch almost everyday, mostly Boca and Wellington. Im fasting so it’s the most tasty nutritious food I’ve got. The staff is amazing and the cleanliness even in bathrooms is top. I always get the small bowl and always ask for a bonus 1/2 spoon of beans and they always give it with a big smile, not this time. Today I tried the Alton one, I had high expectations. First impression was that it was weird starting the line backwards from the right. The operator was friendly but not when I asked for a tin of beans, 1/4 spoon the most… She said no and she wanted to sell me a cup as an extra. I declined, was rude, then I see the line dirty, stuff looked cold. The other operator was afraid to serve too much shrimp and the feta he spread it crumble by crumble, I was amazed of his skills. Those 2 company money savers fighting for the employee of the month. One thing I like at Bolay is to grab my metal good solid forks, this time I couldn’t, not available. The food was tasty as usual but the temperatures were inconsistent, the colds not too cool and the hots warms. Then after sitting the trash overflowing and dirty bowls piling up were a view that you can’t stop looking at it, under my table on the floor smashed veggies. When I’m leaving I’m looking at the other stations and look the same. I avoided use the bathrooms at that point to wash hands as usual. It wasn’t a staff shortage issue, plenty of labor, customer line clear. These guys went through the pick of rush in lunch time with not interval cleanings. So disappointing see that awesome concept lowing the bar so bad. At the end is all management. Not going back there, I mean, that one in Alton but people, you definitely gotta try it somewhere else and get hook by them. Wellington and Boca In Military staff is the best. Hope Alton improve.“

“Honeybelle was a really enjoyable dining experience overall. The food was consistently good across the board—well-prepared, flavorful, and clearly made with care.

What really made the visit stand out, though, was our waitress, Hannah. She was absolutely amazing—attentive without being overbearing, friendly, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we had a great experience. She anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask and brought a great energy to the table. Service like that is rare, and she’s a big reason I’d come back again.“
