“What a great find for lunch with lots of Lunch Specials to choose from where each entree includes a draft beer and a bag of (your choice) chips. My first trip I had a great Mini Philly Steak and the second time I had the twin hot dogs which were also great! The bartender is friendly, informative and very good. Kitchen turns out good dishes in good time. They also have an extensive menu in addition to the Lunch Specials with some desirable dinner dishes. All sorts of activities and seasonal events for the local crowd to enjoy. Great food! COLD Beer! and don't forget your lottery tickets in the adjoining liquor store!“

“The food was awesome. I had the Southwest chicken irresitabowl. It was perfect. The rice is a little spicy but not overwhelming. The guacamole was smooth and actually balances out the spice It was filling and tasted great. This needs to stay in the menu permanently.“

“Decided to make reservations at the last minute and they gladly accommodated it. When we arrived we were greeted by hostess and I believe the manager. He asked if it were our first time and showed us around. The waiter gave us great recommendations and was very attentive. The food came out pretty quickly and was full of flavor. The restaurant itself was beautiful. Loved the decor. Can't wait to try the brunch! Def a nice date night spot.“

“Started off a little shaky. Stood at the bar for about 1 1/2 hours waiting for a table. Asked a waitress if we needed to put our name down and she said yes the hostess seats you. Could not find a hostess so we asked another waitress if we needed to put our name down for a table. She said just seat yourself. The place is packed. A very nice family saw us and said we could have the table after they were finished. We sat down and a waitress took our drink order. Then the hostess told us that this table is for another party. I was very upset. But she made up for it and found us another table. We ended having a very good time with another family waiting for a table. We asked them to join us because our table was big enough and they were waiting for a table for over 2 hours. We will see them next year same place same time. Thank you Waxy’s.“

“I've been wanting to try this place since I saw it on Anthony Bourdain's show. The cabbage slaw is definitely the best version of Cole slaw I've ever had. Ill make this myself one day soon. I would've liked more aggressive pronounced flavor. But I'm happy with it!“

“This is a little gem right next to Ft. Lauderdale beach. It's at the end of the street nicely tucked away, but worth the hideaway. Customer service and ambiance 12/10. I treated myself just to get out the house and I would definitely go back. The twister fries were questionable AT FIRST because as a fry lover I am very specific but I love their take on fried potatoes! The twisters are a great way to scoop your favorite dip on your chip and the crispiness is mouth watering!!!! The hot honey was the shining star on my plate because I've never had one like it! All flavors were fused together brilliantly! And WHEW THE FORGET ME NOT! How could I forget such a stellar QUEEEEEN! I deserved two of these, love the take on a raspberry lemon drop. Truly UNforgettable.“
