For those of you who are unaware (most people) this is against the law and cannot be done. The business has been notified of their infraction and hopefully your next visit will not include this surcharge. If it does, be sure to dispute the fee. He was attentive, joyful, welcoming and showed so much excitement for our arrival just as if we were family coming to visit. Our waitress Mimi treated us just the same. Her service made us feel so comfy and welcome and she was also very attentive. When she introduced herself she even asked us for our names. Such a nice personal touch! “We loved this spot! We ordered the clásico ceviche, calamari, and Sakana roll. Everything is tapas style. We split those 3 and the both of us still left full. You can just taste the quality! We decided to go big and order the Sakana roll. It comes with fried lobster in too. It was absolutely delicious. We sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere. They do offer happy hour at the bar only so we will be returning for that. All in all, a great experience.“

“Summer Wood Cafe a new place in town we didn’t know existed for the past year. It was clean and welcoming. We ordered Lychee Lemon Tea, Cake Cream bubble tea, and Iced Thai tea and all agreed it was a thumbs up. We also ordered Dumplings as appetizers and later the Double Dragon Tempura Roll, Summer Sky Lobster Roll and Tempura J B Roll, and Hibachi Chicken Fried Rice and all of it was delicious! Not only was the staff super friendly but they even came out with birthday music in English, Cantonese, Spanish and French and even ice cream for our son, without us even asking. What a special treat it was for all of us!“

This may honestly be the best sushi I’ve ever had, or at least the best I’ve had in a very long time. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, the flavors were amazing, and the portions were so filling. Every roll we tried was packed with flavor and clearly made with care.

It’s a small hole-in-the-wall spot, which usually means you’re about to get something really good and this place absolutely proves that. I love finding little restaurants like this when traveling. The smaller places often put so much love and attention into their food and their restaurant, and you can truly taste it here.

We ordered several rolls: Big Boss, Hawaiian, Mango Tango, and Volcano. Honestly, I’m not sure I could pick a favorite because they were all equally delicious. If I had to choose, I’d probably say the Volcano roll, but every single one was excellent.

I would come back to Pompano Beach just to eat this sushi again. Highly recommend if you’re anywhere nearby.“

“First time trying this place, and all the servers are very friendly . I just sat at the bar and they offered the all you can eat option which for sushi is a great offer. Tried many different things a few I didn’t love the flavor of the sauce (just personal preference) but all the sushi is really fresh!! So you can’t beat it. Great juices and cocktails. Must come back for the omakase. Danilo was my server and he recommended a lot to me which was helpful .

“My girl and I had an incredible experience at the Boca location. I like how all the patrons sit at the counter together, it adds a sense of intimacy akin to sitting at a sushi counter in Japan. You quickly begin to mingle with the other guests and even make friends along the way. A member of our party had a birthday and we all sang happy birthday to them and did a Sake toast. This was the best way to celebrate an early Valentine's Day dinner and we are definitely coming back. After this Omakase experience all other miami sushi spots will never taste the same again.“
