“I recently stopped by Yumm Sushi Boca Raton while waiting to pick up an Uber Eats order, and I had a very positive experience that stood out more than I expected.

Although I was only there briefly, I had the opportunity to speak with two staff members, Judah and Izzy, who were exceptionally courteous, professional, and welcoming. They took the time to engage in conversation in a sincere and respectful way, which made the environment feel warm and well-run.

Their kindness and professionalism left a strong impression, and it genuinely made me interested in returning to dine in and experience the restaurant properly. Based on the interaction alone, it’s clear they take pride in creating a positive atmosphere for guests.

“Had my first experience last night for dinner, with my father (89 years young who is now eating with me in many sushi restaurants). Dad thoroughly enjoyed the egg drop soup and chicken teriyaki with vegetable fried rice! I had a fab roll (name: Rene Roll) with tuna tartare! The restaurant is conveniently located at Powerline and Palmetto near LA fitness. Such a beautiful and very clean environment with music and the Manager, Albert, was very welcoming and accommodating to our dietary needs. “Taki Omakase is a “next level”! I am a seasonal resident from New York and found Taki’s aging techniques and fish quality even better than the $350 elite omakase nyc scene. This is the best Edomae Omakase experience in South Florida! Every fish has a distinct texture and unique umami profile.

While the chef is a bit introverted and serious, you can really feel their passion in every bite. If you ask questions, they are actually very patient and explain everything in detail. I think they just try their best not to interrupt the customers’ experience.“

The presentation was beautiful and the food was ready quickly. It included a miso soup, which had great depth. They accommodated my allergy needs, substituting some chirashi ingredients as needed.

“This was my first time visiting this sushi restaurant, and I absolutely loved it! Everything was spotlessly clean, and the sushi was incredibly fresh and delicious. The rice was cooked perfectly—exactly the way I like it. They have a great variety of unique and creative flavors, which was a wonderful surprise. “So our family (well kids to be specific) has always had a tradition of going out to Hibachi for birthdays. For years we were going to Saitos on Lyons and Glades then they closed down. Honestly was never my favorite, but tradition is tradition. So we moved on to Benihana’s. Well don’t be fooled by the name. Their food and particularly their service was waaay below PAR. Anyways getting to the point, we wanted to try a new spot and stumbled on Saiko-I. From the first few minutes after being seated we could already tell the dramatic difference. The service was on point. Drinks served immediately, appetizers and meals ordered shortly after. Then came the chef. He was fun, entertaining, funny and efficient. The food was probably the best hibachi I’ve had. None of the one item at a time nonsense you get at the other places. And they used much less of the butter and other garbage they throw in at other spots. At the end of our meal we complemented the GM and she went out of her way to make our business feel appreciated. The staff here was friendly, classy and fun, and the food was amazing. Found our new spot! No this is not a solicited review, I was just super impressed with this place. Shout out the server Hector, chef Javier and GM Ouray.“
