“Surry Hills was so memorable I barely captured any photos or video, I just wanted to be in it. The space is calm and confident, and you can feel how intentional everything is, inside and out. Even the tiny things are dialed in, like the soap and lotion in the bathroom, and the specialty dog treats that make it feel genuinely welcoming. They’ve been recognized by The World’s 100 Best Coffee Shops, and once you sit down, you get why. 

Now the food and coffee. Their coffee is perfectly dialed in, smooth, balanced, and consistent, the kind of flat white that tastes like someone actually cared about ratio, texture, and temperature, not just speed. The almond croissant was flawless, soft and gooey inside, with that crunchy almond top that gives you the perfect snap in every bite. 

And then the savory stuff surprised me in the best way. The avocado toast has that super satisfying crunch and texture, and it tastes like a real Australian brunch plate, not the watered down version. The quinoa salad with chicken was a wow too, hearty but still fresh, with edamame, greens, seeds, and that dukkah vibe that makes it feel intentional instead of just “healthy.” They got it all right, the coffee, the food, the details, and the energy.

“Enjoy the in-house roasted beans from various countries. Especially, the east coast blend for cappuccinos and Ethiopian beans for pourover.
When having more time, I cherish coffee houses with pour-over options. It’s what separates the massive milk drinking (lattes) patrons from the actual coffee consumers. The Brazil and Ethiopia bean seem the best balanced choices.
Note: Grab (purchase) a bag of beans and enjoy a complimentary drink.
Chill on the shaded lanai and take in the tourists and noisy vehicle traffic (why 4 vs 5). Prices are competitive to the market.“

“We called ahead as we wanted to make sure about parking and also we had a small dog. We received a very warm positive response. There was lots of parking and our dog could be easily accommodated We came for brunch and were greeted very warmly by Juan and staff. It’s just a very nice place, coming from downtown Miami. It is still in the artsy district with lots of activity, but not right in the chaotic part of downtown Miami. We were greeted upon arrival. Juan made sure we were comfortable and took drink orders. Then the food. ( our dog was royally taken care of). We found the empanada to be excellent, the breakfast sandwiches delicious from bread to cheese, eggs and meat. Very fresh!! Our party had wonderful juice combinations and we had an expresso- all were excellent. It was a wonderful experience and we’d come back in a minute. Thankyou Juan!! “We had a wonderful experience at Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café in Doral. The Tiramisu latte was absolutely delicious, and my wife loved the Dulce de Leche latte. We really appreciated that our server asked if we preferred oat milk, almond milk, or regular milk — a nice thoughtful touch.

The savory crêpes were outstanding. I ordered the Cali Truffle crêpe, which was filled with turkey and perfectly seasoned, and it came with a fresh salad on the side. It was honestly the best savory crêpe I’ve ever had. My wife chose the Alaskan crêpe, and she loved it as well.

We ended our meal with a Bonne Maman sweet crêpe, which had a perfect balance — sweet but not too sweet.

The service charge was included, and the prices were very reasonable compared to other French bakeries and breakfast spots we’ve visited. Parking is very close and convenient, and you can validate your parking ticket at the restaurant.

Overall, everything was excellent — food, service, and atmosphere. We will definitely come back to try more items from the menu!“

“First time here and Friday time I had a cappuccino with all that what I call excess foam to where it didn't taste like burnt milk with a splash of coffee. 1st it wasn't a half cup of foam it was not even a 1/10 of the cup. I tasted foam then coffee came a second after and it was at a drinkable temperature. I enjoy the space the service and atmosphere and Elmore my service 🐕‍🦺 got so comfortable he feel asleep and I think I here him snore at 1 point. Will definitely be going back.“

“Cafe Grumpy is exactly the kind of coffee shop you want as a go to, simple, confident, and consistently done right. They use organic valley milk, the baristas are genuinely kind, and the whole place has that calm energy that makes you want to stay a little longer.

The coffee is the real reason though. They have single origin options and a light roast that tastes clean and bright, with zero bitterness, just smooth, intentional flavor. Great location, super friendly service, and the kind of spot that becomes part of your routine fast.
