We live locally and decided to stay here for a quick getaway and it became one of our best vacations ever! We actually booked the South Cottage and called to a week before our vacation to see if they have any cottages with two bathrooms instead of just one. We spoke with Eli who was so helpful and professional. He was able to upgrade us to the Rosemary Cottage. I haven’t been here for about 10 years and that’s too bad because I had a really restful and enjoyable weekend here. Now the hotel doesn’t use condos around the island but is limited to 15 cottages on the hotel property. You really do feel like you’re a guest at the Vanderbilt mansion when you come here and the bungalows feel like the Beverly Hills Hotel. Beautiful food and wonderful venue. Only open to members and their guests. Always a little pain having to use the car ferry. Yet it was a great time with friends, good wine list, Wow desserts!
