We dined at J Alexanders in Naples tonight. First, they take reservations - bravo ! We were seated about 5 minutes after arrival. Service was a little confusing - between ordering drinks, ordering and getting our food and paying our bill we were serviced by 4 different staff members. This was a our first visit to the Naples location - been to the PGA one in February. The layout is interesting, definitely different than PGA, which is a wide open room. Naples has several areas - we had a booth in between the bar and the open kitchen (has a glass window). We were celebrating our son's birthday and they gave him a card and a special dessert - very nice touch! The meal service was a little chaotic that evening. We had a table of eight for a surprise Birthday dinner. Food was delish however the service was lacking. The servers were friendly but very slow. I will definitely go back after season ends - we also knew that it’s a new place so they still have to work out the links.
