Upon arrival we were greeted graciously and seated immediately, though prospective diners should note that this is a very popular spot—reservations are strongly recommended. Our table offered an excellent vantage point: comfortable for conversation while still allowing us to take in the lively yet relaxed atmosphere of the surrounding district. Service was outstanding. Our server was personable, attentive, and genuinely helpful in guiding us through the menu. While Mediterrano offers only beer and wine, the selections are thoughtfully curated and pair well with the restaurant’s Mediterranean focus. The true highlight, however, is the food. The carbonara may well be the best I’ve had this side of Rome—silken, deeply flavorful, and unapologetically authentic.
