“I was introduced to Le Cap, a Haitian cuisine gem in North Miami, by a friend, and I've been hooked ever since, making the 40-minute drive from Margate just for a taste. Usually, I go for the boulette (fried meatballs), which I firmly believe are the best in South Florida. This time, I decided to try the poulet en sauce (stewed chicken). The portion was generous, and the flavor, as always, did not disappoint. The food is delectable, and the experience is worth both the drive and the money.“

“I come here all the time to get griot and rice beans with fried plantains and its always hot fresh and delicious. Plus i love that they give a good amount of griot for an affordable price compared to other Haitian restaurants. The restaurant itself is a hole in the wall but those are where you get the best food! Definitely recommend“

“I was in the area, googled Haitian food, went there, had stewed turkey- rice & peas. Loved it. Nice family owned place! I was very happy when I saw an older lady come walking out the back to go home. Probably the grandma cooking.“
“The place is no longer Lumiere Restaurant. It's now call Fritay Kreole Restaurant. They serve Fry Food and other Haitian food. The food is great extraordinary exceptional. The environment is wonderful and pleasant to spend time with friends and family.“
“Honestly, if I had to give it a score on a scale of 1 to 10, it would be a 9. The lady was super friendly, the food was freshly made and cooked well. I ordered the chicken special with French fries and everything was delicious, a very good price. The only thing I kind of complain about is that the wait times are long, but there was only one person doing everything, so it's understandable.“

“We wanted traditional Haitian/Caribbean food and this place has it. You know this when everyone in the place (except us) were from the Caribbean. Everything is so good! I had the Mixed Veggies, which is a kind of stew made with meat bones. My husband had the fried chicken. Both come with plantains and rice. We had the black rice, a first to us, and it’s really good.“

“You won’t be disappointed they have a 3$ and 5$ which the difference is chicken and one is fish but baby the taste is seasoned and if you know island people love spicy food so you know it has a kick and a lot of veggies (eggs hot dog onions green peppers) it’s a meal on its own but be prepared to wait it a cook to order and always a line but it goes by fast but it’s a must try….“
