“Food is good and always fresh specially the plantains. However; they use too much vinager/lime on the griot as seasoning. I understand cleaning the meat with limon /vinegar, since there is no other right way to clean meat. However u can taste it in the seasoning after meat is cook. If u have acid reflux or gastritis u should certainly beware. Other than that is good food.“
“This is my first time trying Haitian food and wow i’m very impressed the Diri Djon Djon was amazing and the Bannann Peze with the Pikliz are to die for!! The customer service was very kind and nice. i will definitely be returning to Five Star Flavors“
“I can't say enough good things about this place. Not only is it Haitian owned, it's operated by a loving family creating jobs and opportunities for their community. Therefore it goes without saying, the food is superbly authentic and the service is extremely courteous.I had the legume with diri ak sòs pois.Their paté kòdé us also good as well as their soup joumou.Enjoy!“
“I love this place food. Been coming here since a child. They have good oxtail, fried shrimp, griot, rice and picklez. BUT DO NOT get their wings. I got their creole wing out of curiosity because i never heard of that and it was so BLAND. Its super tiny wings getting soggy in some barely seasoned sauce. Its so bad its shocking. Other than that everything else not bad. Those wings going in the trash tho“
“I visited this wonderful Haitian restaurant for the first time today. And OMG!!!! The food here reminds me of how amazingly delicious ?? food truly is. This place cooks with love , pure heart and soul. I ordered “ Goat in sauce, white rice and black beans” . After my first bite I screamed “Jesus”. The flavorful taste of the food touched my soul and remind me of home. I was so impressed with the place I ran back inside and asked for the cook - one in charge and kissed her all over , praised and thanked her for such a pleasant and freshly cooked meal. Everyone please come eat here, it is the BEST Haitian food I have had in south Florida!!!!!!“
“Found this new place on google. I’ve tried most of the Haitian restaurants in the area, but was in the mood to try a new spot. Very nice decor when you walk in and person who assisted me was very nice. Didn’t finish my food because I wanted to write this review first before continuing lol. This restaurant gets 2 thumbs up for me. Everything I bought was delicious…from the bean sauce to the rice and beans, fried plaintains, pikliz, and legume was very good. The beef in the legume was very seasoned which is something I was surprised by yet am appreciative for. I will come again so eager to try the other items. Also they have lunch specials which is a plus!“
“If you’re looking for “authentic” Haitian food you found the right place. CASH ONLY u can’t swipe anything here these people want green money! Food is amazing nothing under $10 so don’t come half steppin ? That rice and beans is the best I’ve ever tasted from a ?? Haitian restaurant.“
“The absolute BEST Haitian Patties in broward❗️Buttery, flaky, fresh & packed with a good amount of meat ! U won't be able to eat just one lol I also had their hot chocolate & lemonade both were amazing ! Felt like I was back in haiti when I was drinking them.. only things I didn't like was their spaghetti it was too spicy 4 me & their joumou soup is a miss“
“Maaannnn..... Listen, I ordered the griot and I must say.... that was the closest to how my grandma makes griot. Food was fresh and on point. Only thing that was a concerning was the piklis... it wasn't that spicy and still in the fermented stage.“
“If you are in the area . Shoot even if you're far, as long as you're free to stop at this well oriented hidden gem I ENCOURAGE you to do so . I've been eating here for 1 year from day one was highly satisfied HEADS UP if you do go , Please don't rush your food , I'd rather wait however long for good food than to wait long for food that won't satisfy me . Besides you're waiting for a reason . Everyone who's ever tried it loved it so the place is always busy . You won't be disappointed. !!ALL Staff are very nice patient and kind . My favorite staff workers are Mrs.Marie and Ms.Nesha they are always working hard and super kind and patient . Ms. Marie was going to give me a refund for a mistake that happened with the order I could not and did not accept it the food and customer service I receive has always been enough . Thank you family cuisine for being true to your name . Btw I eat everything off the menu , Yet this day I purchased a pork chop comple Thabk you Mrs. Marie and Nesha , Now a days it's really hard to find good food and customer service. I really appreciate you guys . Do you deserve to be awarded for best Haitian Cuisine in north Miami . I'm from here and I haven't tasted any competition yet . God bless this restaurant and all who enters ❤️“
