“If you’re looking for authentic Haitian food in Miami Gardens, Cuisine Creole is a must-visit. You can tell everything is made from scratch! The Labouyi Bannann (plantain porridge) is the ultimate comfort food. Also, don't miss their Soup Joumou on Sundays—it tastes just like home. Highly recommend!“

“My husband and I eat at this Haitian restaurant whenever we’re in town visiting family, and they never disappoint. The food is always fresh, well-seasoned, and full of real Haitian flavor. From the fried turkey to the rice and beans and the sides, you can tell everything is cooked with care and love, not just thrown together.
What really keeps us coming back is the way they treat us. The staff is always warm, welcoming, and respectful. They make sure we’re comfortable, check on us, and treat us like regulars every single time, even when it’s busy. The service matches the quality of the food, excellent.
The atmosphere is clean, relaxed, and feels like a true Haitian home, with good vibes, good music, and good people.
Whenever we’re in town, this is our go-to spot. If you’re looking for authentic Haitian food with great service, I highly recommend this place.“

“The special Valentine's Day menu for $99 was certainly good value, and as a meal in itself including the Glass of Champagne was exceptional. It was packed and at that price no surprises. The extras if you needed them to add to the meal were fairly priced and also very good. Highly recommend.“

“Lalous was my first experience with Haitian food. I honestly sought this cuisine out because I learned about Pikliz and wanted to try it. My husband and I shared the fried goat with rice and peas. The goat was perfectly seasoned, crisp on the outside, and tender on the inside. The plantains were the best I have ever had. I don't even like plantains, however, I would seek these out. The Pikliz....SO good. We loved out meal. I was so excited, I forgot to take a photo. The store front is humble. The staff are incredibly friendly. The gentleman who took our order, I would describe as jolly. If we ever find ourselves in Miami again, we will definitely be back.“

“Super casual restaurant with excellent food. This was my first time visiting Florida in over 15 years. So I had to get some Haitian food. This place didn't disappoint at all. The food was hot and fresh. The portions were over-sized in my opinion. Lot's of food if you're a heavy eater. So no complaints from me. I had the Snapper and ot was marinated to perfection!. The rice was good too. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. 10 out of 10 totally recommend!!“

“First off the place is spotless. That includes the bathrooms.
Hercules the lady in the front with a big smile was helpful with the menu and very friendly.
I had the goat stew with rice and peas and plantains and the stew was about the best I've ever tasted, a little spicy but not too much just right.
I highly recommend it coming here.“

“I've been here 4 times over the past year and they are always spot on with everything. It tastes like you're eating out of someones house rather than a public restaurant. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you dont mind returning because they are very good at what they do.“

“We went at 1030p. They were out of legume, wings & rice (well we got the last 2 servings). Guess we need to go earlier 🙃.
The outside seating had music playing, the atmosphere was chill.
The food was flavorful & lakay sauce was SPICY!“

“This has quickly become a weekly stop for me. I do outside sales so I’m always on the go and St. Hilaire never fails to deliver tasty bites in a hurry. For $8 you get a decent plate of fried wings and banan, with a side of pilkliz of course.. hard to beat! Patties are good too especially if you just need a quick snack!“

“I was in the area, googled Haitian food, went there, had stewed turkey- rice & peas. Loved it. Nice family owned place! I was very happy when I saw an older lady come walking out the back to go home. Probably the grandma cooking.“

“So I called the restaurant ahead to place my food order, and the lady literally took my order, got my name, and everything. Mind you, I was 18 minutes away and had to take a Lyft there. Once I got there, I told one of the workers my name and what I ordered. She asked around like nobody knew what was going on, while the other lady acted completely confused. I’m standing there thinking they’re about to bring my food out, but instead I watched everybody else get their orders except me.
The Lyft driver could only wait 5 minutes, so I kept asking where my food was because I had to go. The driver ended up canceling my ride because they took so long, so I had to order another Lyft. I asked the same lady again if my order was coming, and she still gave the weakest, most unprofessional response ever. At that point my patience was running thin because y’all should’ve already had my food ready since I ordered it over the phone.
My phone was about to die, I’m not even from Miami, and I literally had to get out of character just for these people to finally give me my food and let me charge my phone. Like why do I have to go through all that just for food? I highly do NOT recommend this place at all. The professionalism was very weak, the consideration wasn’t there, and the disrespect was crazy. Standing right in front of them while they gave everybody else their food except mine is wild.“

“This small Haitian spot is takeout-only. All orders take about 25-30 minutes, which is good because you know it’s freshly prepared, but consider calling in advance if you don’t want to wait. While there’s no ambience, there’s chairs to wait in, and the staff is friendly and helped me pick out a variety to try. The spicing and preparation were good, but a bit salty for my (non-Haitian) palette. Overall I’d love to come back to try the rest of the menu when I’m back in the area.
Parking: A handful of spots are available by pulling into the driveway in front of the building. This is directly off of a fairly busy road without street parking.“

“Yum!!! We were excited to try Haitian food after trying Cuban food. I prefer the Haitian food as it was good for the first helping and excellent the next day. We got so much chicken and legume from this wonderful takeout restaurant that we had enough for dinner, breakfast, and then lunch on the plane to Puerto Rico! I made the mistake of ordering legume thinking it would be beans but it was not a bad mistake as it was an amazing stew. Loved the boiled plantains and the rice is incredible. Loved the meat spices that are subtle and the lack of salt which I felt the Cuban food was way too salt forward though had more depth of flavor. The neighborhood and the place might look sketchy but you don’t need to worry at all! I highly recommend you try the food here.“

“I haven’t been to this place in at least 7 years. I came back from New York and the quality is still the same. I didn’t get a chance to take a pic because I was too busy eating the food. The plantains were crispy and fresh. The oil was clean and the fried chicken doesn’t have a weird aftertaste. What’s the secret to keeping the plantains crispy for so long?“

“The had vegan option which I was very happy about. They did have meat options but they do not sell pork.
The take out containers & utensils were environmental friendly. Which I liked even more!
The food was very tasty, had some spicy to it. I will definitely visit there again!“

“I love this Haitian spot in my opinion the food here is always super good. Me and my boyfriend always come here because we crave it! The pikliz and plantains are my favorite. And every plate I’ve gotten I’ve liked. Definitely recommend! They usually always have people there waiting for their food orders because this place has became a popular favored spot for others as well. The chicken plate is the best! And portion sizes are really good.“

“I’ve eaten at La Fourchette more than five times, and I can honestly say I’ve never been disappointed. The food quality is consistently excellent, the flavors are amazing, and every meal I’ve had there has been fresh and delicious.
I was surprised to read some of the negative reviews because my experience has been completely different. Not only do I keep coming back, but I’ve also recommended this restaurant to several friends, and every one of them has enjoyed the food and had a great experience.
What I appreciate most is the consistency. It’s easy for a restaurant to have one good day, but delivering great food and taste every time is what keeps customers returning. Based on my personal experience, La Fourchette deserves much more recognition for the quality they provide.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for delicious food and a great dining experience!“

“My boyfriend Jeffrey and I needed some late night food so we wanted to try this restaurant out. The plantains were the best I’ve ever had (try dipping them in the beans and you might just cry). “Stopped by here on my way back to Tampa. The griot was honestly the best thing I had. The legume was not what I expected, but it was good. Service was ok and our food came out promptly. The rice and peas was ok as well. The bathroom was not the best and had no soap to wash hands. Overall I would return for the griot. It was crispy, juicy and well seasoned. Serving size was also fantastic. One plate could feed you for a few days. With some minor changes, this place would be top tier.“
“Are you looking for a Haitian restaurant where you can finally sit, eat, and not leave with your clothes smelling like you work in the kitchen? La Gourmandize is where you should go. The atmosphere is welcoming, the location is meticulously clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I actually was able to conduct a business meeting there today and not worry about if my client’s clothing was going to smell like “épice” (Haitian spice). I ordered “fritay” (Hatitian sample platter). It had “akra” (fried-Haitian-finger-food), “bannann pézé” (fried plantains), “griot” (fried pork), and a side salad. You probably thought I forgot about the “Pikliz” (Haitian hot sauce)? It was some of the freshest servings of pikliz I’ve had. Although it was a fried food platter, the serving wasn’t drenched in oil. The Akra and bannann pézé were crispy, not overcooked, and well seasoned. The griot was well prepared, soft, and well spiced. I highly recommended this place if you’re in the mood for some authentic Haitian cuisine.“
“The place is no longer Lumiere Restaurant. It's now call Fritay Kreole Restaurant. They serve Fry Food and other Haitian food. The food is great extraordinary exceptional. The environment is wonderful and pleasant to spend time with friends and family.“
“Honestly, if I had to give it a score on a scale of 1 to 10, it would be a 9. The lady was super friendly, the food was freshly made and cooked well. I ordered the chicken special with French fries and everything was delicious, a very good price. The only thing I kind of complain about is that the wait times are long, but there was only one person doing everything, so it's understandable.“

“I come here all the time to get griot and rice beans with fried plantains and its always hot fresh and delicious. Plus i love that they give a good amount of griot for an affordable price compared to other Haitian restaurants. The restaurant itself is a hole in the wall but those are where you get the best food! Definitely recommend“
