Oxtail fall off the bone tender, very well seasoned and cooked, cabbage good, stew peas delicious, and for good measure I took a large chicken soup that is equally delicious for my meal tonight. I highly recommend this place if craving some Jamaican food.“

“My family and I love trying new flavors from different places, so we decided to try this little place called: which is located on W. Commercial Blvd. and 441st Street in a large shopping plaza. The place is small, simple, but with an incredible flavor, WOW! We ordered a Brown Stew Chicken which had an incredible flavor, and you can't help but admire the prices😳 They don't even exist in a Chinese restaurant, no wonder there are lines of people buying their food at this place; that's why my husband and I have come to the conclusion: it's useless if the place has spectacular or extraordinary decor, if what will convince you is the flavor of their dishes. We will definitely return! Ahhh, not to mention that the service is very pleasant, the prices incredible, and the food sufficient and delicious. Why aren't these places as well-known? For their humble decor? Don't be fooled by the decor of the establishment or the dishes, focus on the flavor, which is what really counts.“

“My family and I traveled to Miami for a mini vacation, we went to Ft. Lauderdale to visit and found this amazing restaurant. It’s call the “Peoples Choice” and it has amazing Jamaican cuisine. “SomeJamaican meals are hard to spoil but I literally just had one of the best breakfasts ever! Ackee and saltfish, Okra and saltfish, with yellow yam,Green bananas and Dumplings. Added some hominy corn porridge and It was absolutely delicious! Of course, I could not have had it all at once but I had to have a bit of everything and leave some for later cause it was a lot for the money and it was delicious. Thumbs up to the chef and the server was very courteous. They assured me there was no MSG in the seasonings and It certainly did not taste like MSG was used at all. Good job M&W.“

“Can’t speak to their costumer service or their times. Sister brought food home. I could tell I wasn’t in Jamaica because I actually got a lot of curry gravy. The pasta was great, the rice was nice… the chicken was over-seasoned. Would have to try more meals for fair assessment.“

“I stopped going about a year or two ago due to the drop in the quality of food. I decided to check them out again, because someone said it was under new management. I was greeted, but it could have been better. Upon asking about the food, it was like pulling teeth. Could have explained the menu and help with the options and get me a bit more interested in what they offered. Then, when she started to explain, she was flying through everything and I could barely hear her. The bottom line is, amp up the customer service and be a bit more friendly and welcoming. On the other hand, I purchased the curry chicken, peas n rice, and cabbage. Got home and saw that I had a plate full of rice and cabbage, no plantains(at least 2 small pieces) 1drumstick cut in half, half of a half of thigh and a small bone or two that was chopped up when they cut the chicken. That pissed me off, because $10.42 at least let me get a whole chicken leg quarter, two legs or something, is all I'm saying.“

“The restaurant isn't designed for groups to dine in comfortably. No imagination is put into the decor, BUT the food is delicious! The pea soup is to die for!! I've also had the fried chicken which is cooked to perfection and the oxtail which is nice. I've had the salt fish fritters which are too greasey but the fried dumplings (Johnny Cakes) are just DELICIOUS.... More to cone as I work .y way through the menu.“

“The young gentleman at my hotel front desk recommended this place, as I was looking for Jamaican food near by. I was pleasantly surprised at food this good coming from a mall food court. I took my order to go, as the mall dining area itself isn't so great. I ordered the oxtails, peas & rice, cabbage and plantains. My only complaint is I feel like I mostly paid for bones and fat, as the oxtail meat was not very plentiful for the cost; however, the flavor of everything and other portion sizes were very giving. I would definitely give it another try but would probably try the goat curry or jerk chicken instead. Customer service was ok. ♥️“
