“My partner and I have been here multiple times and have brought friends here as well. We always have fantastic food. The pho, ramen, sushi, you literally can't go wrong. I wanted to write this review about our server last night. My friend and I had dinner. Our server was working the whole front half of the restaurant by himself. Bussing tables, serving tables, checking out to go orders, making sushi, serving drinks, answering the phone. He was literally doing most of this stuff by himself. He was exceptionally kind and even though we had to wait a little (we didn't mind) it was great service. Unfortunately some people walked out because they felt it wasn't fast enough but at no point did I feel it was unreasonable. You could also see he genuinely felt horrible these people left. Our patience was rewarded with great service and great food. Always remember to have a little patience with people. You never know the full story. You may only see a small glimpse of the work that is being done.“

“we love this place and order at least once every 2 weeks. but I beg of you, please STOP putting the cold sushi on top of hot items in the same bag. The hot food basically cooks the food above it and it makes the sushi warm and not the ideal temp. otherwise we love the hibachi and sushi choices. We really do enjoy the place!“

“Date night with the hubs. We wanted to try something new and this place did not disappoint. We tried several dishes and everything was delicious! He had soup, the steak, and fried rice. “I have had a few friends tell me good things about this place and I was equally impressed. This restaurant is very small and it's first come first serve as they do not take reservations. It has a nice contemporary japanese atmosphere. Our waitress, Emily, was lovely and extremely accommodating along with some excellent recommendations like the valentine roll.The sushi, folks, is some of the best I have had--and I eat sushi often and almost everywhere I travel. It's extremely fresh and they have some new bright ideas for rolls with contemporary presentations. Whatever you do, try the dragon balls -- a zany name for a delicious appetizer. Beer, wine as well as both hot and cold Saki are available. They also make some specialty drinks from Saki and wine. This is a do not miss if you are a sushi lover.“

WarNing: come early or order take out. the place is cozy and small with two tables inside and 2 outside. so the boys had cheese noodles on fire and I ordered Taiwanese because meat rice. “We came here to celebrate 2 birthdays and it was just perfect. This was our first time and we were really impressed with Zai (our amazing waiter) and Andy (manager who makes amazing shots). There are no words to explain the excellent service we received from Zai. He made sure we were well taken care off and was always on top of things. The food was not too bad. As you can imagine it is an all you can eat restaurant therefore you cannot expect top of the line sushi and steak but they do offer such a wide variety that I am pretty sure you will find something extraordinary for your taste buds. “This was my second time here and it was amazing once again! I do not live in the area, so I'm not near it often, but it is definitely worth a stop for some sushi! The food is amazing. The location is great. And the overall wait time was fantastic to get food and our check and leave. I have a favorite sushi place by my place, far surpasses my really great one. Delicious! “I sat at the bar where Ashlee greeted me promptly and made me a spicy bloody Mary. She informed me was happy hour, and several drinks were $5 and under including my Bloody Mary! They also had a happy hour sushi on the weekends $5 rolls. This was definitely a bargain.I started my meal ordering the Arizona roll and the Florida roll. They were both fantastic. I preferred the Arizona over the Florida midway through my meal. I also ordered the Eel and spicy tuna. “We decided to give Hot Tuna a try in 2020 during Covid when our go to sushi place had shut down. In four years our EVERY Friday experience has been consistent. Every Friday for four years our food has been nothing short of fresh and delicious. The employees know us, acknowledge us, and make us feel special. You will not be disappointed by giving Hot Tuna a try. They’re consistent across the board. We appreciate the quality of food and service they provide. “I took my mother out on her birthday on April 2nd to this place after a friend of mine suggested it, and my word, did it truly exceed our expectations.Let's start with the atmosphere first, it felt like you were walking straight into Japan, from a nice koi pond up front to its cultural themes all the way up to the tables themselves, the people there were also extremely friendly as well greeting you with open arms, it is a great mix of American and Japanese cuisines combined. You can tell this place truly respects its Japanese roots and we were all for it. The tables also gave you the opportunity to socialize and make new friends along the way which was a nice touch as it's not everyday you get to see such a layout like this.Let's move on to the waitress and the chef for the evening. Our waitress was Hailey and our chef was Steven. They were both excellent people to be around, Hailey's enthusiastic attitude really says a lot about offering great service as she really loves her job and she always brings a smile to people's faces. As for Chef Steven, he really blew us away with his cooking skills, he had a great sense of humor as he entertained us with hilarious food centric jokes as he was cooking our meals, you can tell he had a blast with his job from start to finish, that's how great of a chef he was, he and Hailey were by far the best parts of our experience.Now we move on to the food. We ordered the Kobe Combo and the Sumo Special, and boy were they scrumptious! Chef Steven's presentations of our meals didn't disappoint at all, they were very well cooked and perfected to the core to get that mouth-watering taste, all their food options are nice, but the Kobe Combo and the Sumo Special were by far the best options they had to offer.Finally, let's talk about what they do for birthdays. They put cute little chef hats on top of you as a nice gesture, after that, it follows with the waiters, chefs and even the restaurant owners playing drums and singing in both English and Japanese to spice things up, last but not least, they serve a wonderful little cupcake, if you want to celebrate your birthday at a Japanese restaurant, this is the place to go!In conclusion, I highly recommend this place from the bottom of my heart. “I've been coming here for about a year and get a poke bowl from here at least a couple times a month. I've been to other poke bowl places in the area and it just doesn't compare to this place. This place is authentic, fresh, and so yummy!! Recently I've switched from rice to greens (gluten and grain free), and the poke bowls are still just as good. I've never had a problem with customer service either. On top of that, they're so quick!! The three times I've been to a different poke shop in Tampa the service was so slow. I felt like their employees were new and not knowledgeable about their work area. Not this place, same quick and nice service each and every time! Also, compared to other places, this place gives plenty of the filling and toppings, like the bowl actually gets filled which I really appreciate.“

It was evident that they were not fully focused on our table and seemed to be preoccupied with other tasks.To make matters worse, there were fruit flies present in the restaurant, which was quite off-putting and detracted from the dining experience. This added to my overall disappointment with the visit.While the sushi was passable, the poor service and presence of fruit flies left me feeling dissatisfied. When the food arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the portion size, freshness, and overall flavor. The wife got a few rolls and we both were very pleased with our meal. I requested the manager stop our table so I could tell him how happy we were with the meal. I also had to stop by the sushi preparation counter and thank the men that had created our dinner. We certainly will be back next time we are in the mood for amazing Sushi and Sashimi.“

The food os delicious, but have noticed a drop in quality recently. And they don't serve your food with rice you sort of have to ask for it... which is a little odd.“

“It’s sad to say how over rated other restaurants are. This is a great example of sushi and by that I means does’t deserve a 4.2. Friendly, caring, efficient and the cuisine is top notch. All of the food I ate was excellent. The sushi chef even addressed me personally and asked for my order before the server showed up with my beer.
