“While traveling and using public transportation, the city bus dropped us off down the road from Candy's Place and the connecting bus was running late. We walked down the street and discovered Candy's Place purely by accident. We originally went inside to have one beer and walk back to the bus stop. Waited at the bus stop again but decided to skip the bus and go back to Candy's Place because it had such a positive impact on us and we didn't want to leave. Candy's Place is so nice and welcoming inside and as soon as we met the owner and customers we knew right away this place is very special. We spent the rest of the day and evening there, met new friends and everybody made us feel so welcome and at home. Maribel, the owner, is an amazing and beautiful soul...she made us feel so welcome and her Platano Fritos are amazing and her Cuban coffee is absolutely the BEST coffee I have ever had. To Maribel and your local customers...thank you for inviting us in as part of your neighborhood family, we will never forget your kindness and generosity. Our experience was so memorable, we are definitely coming back to see you. If we were local, we'd be there every day.
Candy's Place is clean and neat with a warm ambiance. There is karaoke on the weekends, pool table, juke box, breakfast and lunch is served right there from the kitchen...there's no need to go anywhere else, it's home away from home.“

“I came here twice while staying in Miami for Art Basel. It is by far the tastiest breakfast/brunch I have ever had in Miami. The location is super cute, and the service is exceptional. Most of all, the food and drinks are incredibly delicious. I recomeend the eggs benedict. the scrambled eggs on a croissant with bacon, and their berry-and-protein smoothies. They make a great cappuccino too. I highly recommend all of it!“

Still waiting for them to ask how everything is… we came through last year and had a totally different experience staff was super friendly and engaged even though the place was packed. We caught them at turnover and they couldn’t care less. We talked about hitting craft as a high point for our one night in Miami before cruising… and now we won’t bother going back to Bayside.“

“The restaurant was in a nice area in Hialeah gardens or unincorporated Hialeah, not sure what this area qualifies as. Anyway, it was nice. We were immediately greeted by the hostess. She was kind and asked where we preferred to be seated because we had a stroller. The table we had ready for us (we got in line online) didn't work because of the stroller. So she quickly helped us get one that worked for us. We chose to be seated outside. Nice outside area that isn't in direct sun light. The table we were initially sat at was so wobbly that I don't see how anyone could eat there. We had to move to a different one. However, the three outside tables in the size we needed were full of dirty plates. We had to ask the server to please clear a table so we could switch. She called over the busser and he cleared the plates on the one table we were moving to and then they left all the other tables around us dirty. A dirty napkin was even left on top of the sugar and I had to move it to another table. Gross...

Another party came to eat outside and they too had to switch tables. They had to sit at one of the tables with dirty plates. The servers just moved the plates to the side to accommodate them. The dirty plates remained the entire hour that we were there dining. I'm not sure why no one cleared them. It wouldn't have been much more effortful to take it in and clear the table. In other restaurants all employees do this, not just the busser.

“On the busiest Labor Day Monday, my friend and I came to check in. The two women in the front were handling every piece of the front end business with class.

Yvette stood out the most for her ability to juggle service at the register, take out and seating customers. I watched for 15 minutes while waiting for my table and she greeted EVERYONE, ensured prompt updates and wished everyone leaving a wonderful day. This kind of service has to be praised. She is the main reason I will continue to come to this location.

Next at the table even with the volume we were greeted within 5min of being seated. With the volume Yvette communicated the delay, which we understood with patience. Service was wonderful and the food was amazing. I tried the morning meditation and it was vibrant, must try! I was skeptical about multigrain pancakes but they didn’t disappoint!

We were no exception to the wonderful farewell from Yvette as we left. 😊 Overall 10/10.“
