50 Best Steakhouses in Orlando

“Papa Llama, 2840 Curry Ford Road, Orlando- 4-Stars Michelin Recommended- Bib Gourmand! Peruvian immigrants, Kevin and Maria Ruiz, say they founded Papa Llama in 2016 as an experimental pop up and opened the doors of this location in August 2020. In 2022, they earned the Michelin Guide's coveted "Bib Gourmand" award for establishments that serve good food at reasonable prices so naturally, I got excited. Paulina, my server, was well prepared and knowledgeable, making for an auspicious beginning in a gorgeous environment featuring good prices for dishes that could be made to satisfy both carnivores and herbivores alike. I ordered the entire family style menu which was, according to Papa Llama, "designed to be tasted together, shared, and fought over." So much food for just over a hundred dollars. The prices may have been cheap but the taste and quality of (most) victuals valieron un Perú! A hearty Big Boy Thank You (Sulpayki!) to Kevin and Maria and the culinary dactylograms of their ancestors, on this amazing cuisine (Somaq Mihuna!). The first item on the menu was Olives--whole green Castelvetrano olives marinated in house with aji panca--which were so delectable I could eat them all day. Next, the Red + Gold Beets, a minty beet salad with honey ají amarillo vinaigrette, queso fresco, and candied pistachio, which started out smooth and creamy and ended with a pleasantly piquant bite. Papas a la Huancaína followed, a fingerling potato dish with spicy aji amarillo cream, wakatay (black mint) salsa verde, and beef chicharron, topped with a fried egg. The potatoes themselves were not the star, but the combination of flavors in the sauce were amazing, unctuous but smooth. Papa Llama carries a long list of natural wines, more wines than food items, actually. That evening, I chose the Yuzu Sake, and may I say, "Holy smokes!" How refreshing after consuming so many peppers. The rest of the dishes I would give 4.5 to 5-Stars, EXCEPT for the side of frozen Sysco French fries which almost ruined an otherwise stellar meal. There are over 300 kinds of potatoes in Peru. Over 300! Perhaps in the United States we don't have the same abundance as found in El Valle Sagrado (the Sacred Valley) but, por favor, do not stoop to this! The Big Boy says, "Eat here. All the authentic Peruvian flavors at Papa Llama are 5-Star, but skip the fries, which are a corporate conglomerate frozen food disappointment."“

“Chima is an absolute wonder! Evelyn was my server and she was AMAZING its been so hard to find a quiet peaceful place to just enjoy some alone time with my partner but this is definitely a beautiful place to settle in and eat good! The food was authentic and even the men serving the food were great! We had Pedro stop in a couple of times bc we loved the special they were throwing and he was so polite and kind. My night was to celebrate an anniversary and the manager was such a delight Alan was kind enough to give me a tour of the wine cellar which is absolutely breathtaking! Over 2500 bottles of wine? Heaven to me! lol overall I am definitely going to recommend this place to all my friends and family because it was an awesome experience thank you!!“

“Having The Venetian Chop House on the property of Caribe Royale was perfect for us. This eliminated the need to search all of Orlando for restaurants, getting into challenging traffic and finding another place to park. The food was delicious. Our server explained the dishes very well and answered any questions that we had. The courses were timely and presented well.“

“Our first time here, from out of town, we don't have them up north. Food was great, made from scratch, which is rare for a chain. Drink menu was great also. Food portions are enough for 2-4 people, we probably left with more food to take with than we could eat as a whole meal there with 2 people, and VERY reasonably priced. We had 2 drinks, 2 appetizers, 1 steak, 1 sandwich, dessert and an extra side for $114, and left with enough to eat the next day except the steak. LOTS of meat options but also seafood. Mars , our server , was phenomenal. Best service hands down in a long time!!“

I love going to a restaurant and being able to talk with my family without problems. Although the televisions were on, the volume was correct.“

“I ordered the light portion of jerk chicken pasta. There wasn't any chicken in it. The server returned it to the kitchen after I brought it to his attention. When he returned it did have chicken but the pasta wasn't hot. I ate some but was taking it home. Later I got very sick I did not eat any of it at home and threw it out. I've had it many times before but never had an experience like this.“

“We came to celebrate my nephews graduation. We were a party of six and opted for the patio for the fresh air. The light fixture on the patio are bottles of gin, vodka, and rum bottles. What a great idea. The vibe here is good. The colorful patio feels like you are in another country. The food was delicious as well as the drinks. “We went last night off of a recommendation from a friend. It was a pleasant surprise to find this restaurant and we have added it to our favorites list. The staff was excellent, starting with the complimentary valet. The upscale atmosphere is beautiful with interesting art and light installations. We had a party of five. We started with a variety of appetizers and every one of them was excellent: Smoked Wagyu Pastrami, Spicy Wild Caught Shrimp, Josper Grilled Octopus, Pan Seared Foie Gras Jewels. The foie gras was so good that I ordered a second plate to eat with dinner. For dinner we ordered the Pappardelle, two Chateau Filets, Lamb Chops, grilled broccolini and truffle mashed potatoes. We loved the table side presentation of the pappardelle being mixed on the giant Parmesan wheel and the chateau filets being seared to perfection as they were being plated. We had a bottle of wine with dinner and had one person order an Americana and one Turkish coffee, in addition to tea and soft drinks. The service was excellent and the food was some of the best we've ever had. Our bill (with 18% gratuity built in + additional 7% because it was so good), came to $929. Impressive, upscale dining with excellent food and service.“

“Had a fantastic visit to this location. Sat in the bar area and the service was excellent, friendly and attentive. The crab cakes are absolutely amazing! I love how food comes out sizzling on a 500 degree plate. The lemon drop and dirty martini are fabulous. The lobster Mac and cheese is full of lobster. The lamb chops were seasoned to perfection. The sea bass was light and tender and delicious. The salmon with shrimp was delicious as well. There was nothing we didn’t absolutely love. Fantastic steak house with fantastic service!

“As far as chain restaurants go, Longhorn is the absolute best for food, service and atmosphere! Sat at the bar with a long time friend I hadn't seen in a while. Bartender was friendly and quick. Ordered the spicy chicken bites and Spinach Artichoke dip. I think it's the best dip I've ever had. My friend (a former bartender) said it her margarita was the best she'd ever had at a restaurant as well.“

My sister, my husband and I wandered into this restaurant a couple months ago & much to our surprise enjoyed our lunch so much more than all the other restaurants we have tried in the area. Fast forward to today - it was Mom's 90th birthday, we wanted to make it special & have a great meal. Black Rock Bar & Grill did not disappoint. Everything from the appetizers, drinks, and entrees were fantastic! We are super picky - not one complaint from anyone in our party. The service was spectacular - friendly, personable and professional! The staff made my mother's day by bringing a specially prepared dessert to the table as a surprise at the end of the meal! “Longhorn is Longhorn. It’s a chain and you can go from Miami to Seattle and get the same menu. Tonight, at this Longhorn, food was as expected. Arrive was friendly but slow. I felt the description of the margaritas were vague in order to up sale you from the $6 one to the $13 one. Overall it was clean, friendly and as expected, since after all it was a Longhorn.
