Cocina Café Malabar Reviews
The food is good. The only complain I have is the serving. Today I had a take a number to buy an empanada and wait for 15 minutes to pay for it. They should put the fritters and the bake separated. In addition they need more than one cashier at lunch time.
First time coming down. Very nice staff. Food looked delicious. I got some empanadas and onion rings and they were sooo good!! I’ll def be back again soon to try more of their menu!
The pork, plantains and rice were delicious. The red and black beans were lacking garlic onions salt and seasonings

Cocina Café Malabar is a restaurant serving Caribbean and Spanish cuisine. The best food feels like home, with great service. Favorite meals include the Venezuela Empanadas, chicken empanadas, pizza empanadas, pollo guisado, stuffed yuca, onion rings, the Cuban sandwich, and Cuban coffees. The food is always quality and yummy. Catering offers 12 empanadas for $25, ready within 10-15 minutes. The staff is very nice. One reviewer noted an error where they were charged twice for one breakfast sandwich, but they returned the next day and it was credited back. Some reviews mention the service can feel rushed and less friendly over time, missing that same welcoming, family-like vibe. However, the food is typically very good, and the restaurant delivers quality. Overall, it is a great spot with a variety of food, and a place where customers plan to come back.
