Great food! Great service!
We always come here every year we come to Panama City Beach. The portions are just right amount of food. The price is good. We could eat here everyday. The hush puppies are the best EVER!! My husband gets the 1/2 order of shrimp boil and a 1/2 order has 12 shrimp with it.

Bayou on the Beach offers great food like gator bites, shrimp, fried oysters, crawfish, and more. The service is excellent, with an enthusiastic wait staff that ensures a memorable dining experience. Some guests have noted that the hostess can be rude, which may affect their experience slightly. The menu features delicious options such as smoked tuna dip, seafood gumbo, fried shrimp, and key lime pie, along with wonderful salads for those seeking vegetarian options. The food is fresh and flavorful, with standout dishes like the crawfish boil impressing even those familiar with Louisiana cuisine.
The restaurant has a creole and cajun flare, focusing on seafood and shellfish, but it also offers fish, gator, and red meat. The cooking methods include steaming, frying, blackening, and grilling. There are plenty of appetizers that mix Florida and Louisiana styles, and the portions are generous. The restaurant is popular, often busy, and does not take reservations, which speaks to its popularity. Guests have remarked that they could eat here every day, especially enjoying the hush puppies and the 1/2 order of shrimp boil. Before leaving, it’s recommended to order beignets to go, ensuring a smile as the day ends.
