“Me and my boyfriend went tonight for a little date night and everything was amazing. Host was so sweet and friendly Waitress was helpful fast and thoughtful Food was amazing. No one ever cooks my steak right, but they did. Dessert was classy and yummy The atmosphere was cute As a stand point of someone that works at a restaurant, it looked like a well oiled machine. All of the workers we saw were nice and fast. We saw tables being bussed fast and efficiently. And the vibes were just all good. “This place isn’t much to look at and isn’t on the beach, but the food and friendly service make it a very worthy stop. Our only regret is trying it on one of our last days at PBC so we weren’t able to go again! We enjoyed peel and eat shrimp, a Cajun fish and grits dish, and a fried basket, and they were all amazing! Everything was fresh and expertly prepared, the portions were ample, and the value was outstanding. Even the fries were well seasoned and fried to crisp perfection, and the sauces and salad dressing were better than any other place we tried. Beer, wine and cocktails were also good and so affordable when compared to competitors. Highly recommend supporting this amazing, family-owned restaurant that has an “old Florida” appeal that we felt was quite charming!“

“of course the view. The beach bites, oysters and margaritas were also good. The grilled Mahi sandwich was bad. You get a substantial amount of fish, but it was dry and bland. I went for a second bite and the bottom hamburger roll fell apart from being too wet. We would go back.“

“I was very excited to try the lobster rolls! And I was not disappointed! Absolutely DELICIOUS to the point you want to lick the bread.
They are not cheap but I think you get a decent lobster meat and will live you satisfied.
Of you are a big eater just get a side or a soup. Lobster bisque was good, not great I was disappointed you had to pay extra for the meat though. It could bring “some”.
I’m giving one 2 stars for service because even though the employee helped me, he never smiled or seemed to want to interact with the client. I didn’t needed him to talk to me but have a great night or enjoy etc would have made me feel more welcome. He was very serious and cashed in and done.
The atmosphere is ok, nothing fancy . I preferred to sit outside as it was too cold inside.
Regardless of the negative the lobster was on point and I will be back to have another roll when I’m in the area.“

“I’m not sure if I should be shocked or not. Having made more than a few visits to Runaway Island over the years, it saddens me that they are now hosting Spring Break events. So much for a “family friendly” spot. Again, I’m probably alone in this, but would not have thought they would have to stoop so low. Cross another one off the list.“

“EDIT: We did order the 1/2 dozen oysters assuming they were 1/2 off as everything else was. Server did not tell us otherwise and we were charged FULL price. Just check with your server and remember to tip the full price. Your getting a deal here, not your server ❤️ Omgosh. Last night! Absolutely the best meal!! Greg had the grouper imperial. A huge grouper filet with ALOT of crab meat. He is a potatoe salad critic and the “baked potato salad” was the best he has ever had. I wish you could have seen his face with every bite. But my dish, low country grouper was the best dish that ever hit my mouth. The grouper was fried and check out the amount. The flavors all came together with the creole sauce, chicken, sausage and shrimp. We have dinner taken care of tonight with leftovers. Look it up on the menu. Side note: I have had the grouper nuggets as my meal off the appetizer menu before - perfectly cooked and not close to eating it all even with Greg’s help.“

“We liked the chili lime shrimp and the seafood dip so much that we got them twice the week we stayed. Large portions. We only did carryout each time but the service was good.“

“Waiting for a table was a bit long, especially when it seemed that others walked right in and were seated. Standing in line for food was also a long wait, but the food was definitely worth it. “Stopped here with my husband for a quick bite after leaving the beach. Very clean and the food was excellent. It was just what we needed after a long day outside. We had the curry goat with pasta, peas and rice. We also had the Manish soup and a veggie plate with cabbage, calleloo, plantains, with peas and rice. Everything was wonderful and Chales did a great job of meeting all of our request. If your looking for authentic Jamaican food this is the place.“

“My husband and I have come here many times over the years for different occasions. Pregnancy. When I got my real estate license. And then tonight again to celebrate 11 years of marriage. The food here is always consistently good. My steak was AMAZING last night. My husband was highly impressed with his prime rib. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our waitress was great. The entire experience was great. We didn’t expect anything else but we were still excited to see it was the same.“

“I went to Pompano Joe's, after realizing my favorite restaurant was closed due to fire damage. I was pleasantly surprised that I did. Jeremy was my server, and he was excellent. I arrived with two minutes to spare for a lunch special, and he was quick to get my order in to make sure I was able to enjoy. I ordered the crab legs, and he suggested I try blackened. While they were messy, they were absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned. I will definitely visit again and will ask for Jeremy if available.“

“We ate here 2x during our vacation in Panama City. It was right next to hotel. I saw the mixed reviews, decided to try it out anyways. The staff was very friendly, the service was great and food came out fairly quick, and it was delicious! Definitely recommend!!“

“Had the tacos on tacos Tues. both soft shell and hard shell.
Can’t beat the value. Filling was warm and tasty and topped with fresh lettuce and tomatoes.
Also came with chips and salsa for the table. With 4 drinks ( 3 margaritas and a beer and 8 tacos ) bill was under $40 for 2 people

“This is always a go to destination. Have never had a bad meal or server in the many times we have been there to eat. I love their Greek salad and stuffed grouper. Others had the seafood platter and stuffed flounder. Everything was excellent. Drinks were also great.“

“Imagine finding one of the best high tea’s I’ve ever had at a place on the beach known for beer and daiquiris. Well Harpoon Harry’s has it on Sundays! Four types of delicious, fresh sandwiches, deviled egg with shrimp, scones with fruit preserves, puff pastries, fresh fruit, 2 desserts, and cheese and crackers. Beautifully presented on a tower and served with a good selection of teas. Compliments to the chef. Definitely worth the price.“
