“My wife and I came to the Ellenton area on our honeymoon. Her local family reccomended we check out Woodys River Roo. It was our first stop and the only repeat stop during our week down here. We went to "The Roo" on three separate occasions and loved each one. The food was great, the view of the manatee river was very nice, but the friendly hardworking staff was the cherry on top. They all really seemed to love each other and worked together like a well oiled machine. They made us feel right at home and made sure everything was just right. Bar tender Johnny, who I belive said had been employed there for 15 years, reccomended a lot of other great places to drink and dine in the area. They also have a gift shop and live entertainment from, music to trivia 7 days a week! 10 out of 10 would reccomend. My wife and I hope to be back sooner than later!“

There are people in the community that have nothing better to do but get into other residents business, are rude to new residents, take pictures and send them to the Governor. These people need to get a life and mind there own business!!! It’s people like you that make the community unappealing to potential new owners. If your that unhappy MOVE. There are communities on every corner. Your drama is neither wanted or appreciated. To those who provide services to the residents in the community. “Love the music!!! Great mix of tunes and everybody was friendly, our server was April and she was a complete pro and a seasoned vet. My drinks stayed full and she was on point in every way possible, that being said the back of the house needs to tighten with the salad bar. I mean heavens to Betsy you got one job and I paid for a tomato so I want freaking tomato, and don’t give me the “We’re short staffed!” horse puckey either…..DO BETTER!“

I think I had a half cup of mashed & 3 broccoli crowns. I went home & had to eat! If you can't give more hearty meals I'm sorry to say I might not be back. I'm a woman so can you imagine a man being filled on this dinner?“

I complained to the bartender who was new (no uniform) who didn't seem interested. But that being said, Ed's is a great place although crowded at times.“
