“Jill provided one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we sat down, she was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She anticipated our needs without ever being intrusive, kept our drinks full, made excellent recommendations, and made us feel like valued guests throughout the entire meal.
Great service can make a good meal unforgettable, and Jill did exactly that. Her professionalism, positive attitude, and attention to detail were exceptional. It’s clear she takes pride in what she does, and it shows.
If you have the opportunity to have Jill as your server, you’re in for an outstanding experience. She is a tremendous asset to the restaurant, and I hope management recognizes what an exceptional employee they have. Five stars without hesitation!“

“My wife and I came for dinner. The New Age Flatbread was AWESOME. Crust was amazing.. Shrimp Cocktail Great! and Osso Bucco was to die for! The meat fell off the bone and melted in you mouth. Kirby was our server and was just terrific.. She was friendly and very attentive.“

“I had a wonderful experience at Riverhouse Waterfront Restaurant and truly enjoyed my visit. From the moment I arrived, the combination of the beautiful waterfront setting, welcoming atmosphere, and attentive service made a great first impression. It’s a perfect place to relax, enjoy a meal, and take in the surroundings.
The location is one of the biggest highlights. Dining near the water creates a peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere that makes the experience feel special compared to a regular restaurant. The views, comfortable seating, and overall environment make it a great choice for a casual meal, a special occasion, or spending quality time with friends and family.
The food was excellent, with fresh ingredients, great presentation, and flavors that showed attention to detail. The menu had a nice variety of options, making it easy for different preferences to find something enjoyable. Every dish I tried was prepared with care, and the portions were satisfying. The drinks were also well made and complemented the meal perfectly.
The service was another strong point. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive throughout my visit. They made sure everything was going smoothly while still allowing us to enjoy our time without feeling rushed. Their positive attitude added a lot to the overall experience.

“We had a fantastic anniversary dinner celebration! We started off with a special Sauvignon blanc for my wife and I had a really good Negroni. For an appetizer we had the grilled oysters. They were very tasty! Love their take on the mignonette. Next up was the main Dish of a strip steak and a burger. Both were really good. Well seasoned. The steak really did not need any side sauce. The star was a side of the crispy potato pave. It was spectacular!
We did receive a dessert for our anniversary- their take on a cheesecake. It was good. Not overly sweet. The dinner was a splurge but I believe worth it.“

“I highly recommend them. They made my wedding cake, cookies and cupcakes-and My best friend’s birthday cake during our stay on the island. They were absolutely amazing!! The customer service was amazing planning a wedding 1300 miles away! The display of the wedding cake was beyond amazing. They paid attention to every detail I wanted and was looking for in doing my beach wedding theme.. great job hometown sweets and I definitely be visiting more when I visit the island“

“good place, but the dog on the bar/barstools has to go. every waitstaff person pets that dog and never wash their hands. if its a service animal, it needs to be on the floor, not being fed at the bar by employees and patrons, which i have witnessed.“

“I celebrated my birthday at this quaint and unique space last month, and have been back several times since.
Meaghan, the owner, is friendly, accommodating, and a lovely person to chat with.
We have tried just about everything on their food menu, as well as sampled many of their wines. Everything we tried we loved!
We particularly enjoyed the Lola Pinot Noir. As we learned, Lola, is the label of her brother's vineyard in the Sonoma Valley.
Don't expect over-the-top service, expect excellent food, excellent wine, and excellent conversation.
Just love this place! Supporting local restauranteurs is so important. Keep the national chains from absorbing or forcing the mom and pops out.

Highly highly recommend me & my husband we’re first timers to this metro diner we ordered the San Francisco Benedict’s & the breakfast burger honestly never had food that tasted so good eggs were perfect burger cooked perfect seasoned fries AMAZING avocado tomato were FRESH METRO DINER JUST GOT TWO REGULARS FOR LIFE!!! She was incredibly friendly and hospitable, making us feel right at home from the moment we sat down at the pool area. “This is THE SPOT. Wow! Their famous Chicken and biscuit was so delicious, juicy and flavorful. Home fries….yes! Kids had Mickey Mouse pancakes and yes, I snuck a few bites. Also one of the few places with a good coffee menu…thank goodness! Espresso Freddo (cold) hit the spot on a hot day. Service was 100%.“

“We stopped here for dinner, after a day on the beach. The food was delicious along with the Beachside cocktail. But…. the highlight of our dinner was Collin. His contagious smile and fun personality made us feel like we were having dinner with a long-time friend. He kept us laughing and took excellent care of us. The Beach House is very blessed to have Collin as a part of your team. He truly went above and beyond to make our entire experience excellent. We jokingly told Collin that we came to the island looking for a sugar daddy. After meeting him, we would consider becoming sugar mamas :)“

“As always, the experience was phenomenal. Atmosphere and people cheery and helpful. Food was absolutely amazing! We had the pineapple, upside down, pancake, an omelette, fruit salad, muffins, BLT sandwich, grits, peach, cobbler, and scrambled eggs. The fruit was fresh and delicious. Everything else was spot on delicious!
This particular restaurant was the first one that we had visited back 25 years ago and it is so amazing that we have talked about it ever since. When we came back down this time, we had to stop here.
In fact, it was so amazing the other time that we came that we always joke that’s where we want to go for our birthday dinner.“

“I wish I could give them 1000 stars. Although I have always been a fan of Basil’s chicken, today just made me love them even more. We had an event and our catering that we prepaid for didn’t show up. If you know basils then you know they always have an impressive spread of chicken over the open flame and I had 60 hungry home visitors to feed. I called at 12pm and asked for the manager, told her the situations she said she could have chicken, salad, broccoli, mashed potatoes, and pita bread ready for me in an hour. She did and of course it was amazing as always. So grateful that they saved the day. Everyone loved the food! Thank you so much.“

“While we enjoyed the food and appreciated them accommodating our large group size, I wish their website was more upfront with not really being a kid friendly spot. No high chairs available. No kids menu available. The 9 year old and 12 year old in our group each ended up with $54 entrees. The pace of our meal was also painfully slow from apps to dessert. This would be fine for adults looking for a leisurely dinner but it just wasn’t necessary for our group and I would have appreciated our waitress reading the needs of our group better. 3 filets we ordered medium rare for our group all came well, which was disappointing.
We will be back but without kids.“
