“"Believe me the very next time our SnowBird relatives and friends come to visit/vacation Shaggy's Bar/Grill Restaurant definitely will be the only recommended place on the Beach to wine and dine. An Awesome place to eat. Fabulous place on the water over looking Inlet, delicious Food and our waitress KATIE was so tentative, helpful, warm and friendly with a DO COME BACK Atmosphere she Created. The upstairs Outdoors atmosphere and Vibes are awesome, we started off with the Seafood Fries, for our Main meal was the Captain's Platter for 2, was such a large portion we still had to ask for a carryout. My wife and I were celebrating our 52nd Anniversary, her 76th birthday and my 79th birthday on 16th of February. The Manager was Extremely Welcoming and Super Nice. Once KATIE found out we were Celebrating Our Birthdays and Anniversary She Gifted us each with slices of Fantastic Tasting Red Velvet Cake. The Food was delivered fast and Hot! Once again Very Friendly Staff, Definitely a 5-Star Restaurant!!“

They take delivery orders through DoorDash, and our driver didn’t make it to pick up before they closed—so one of their employees personally brought the order to us instead. That kind of care and dedication is rare these days. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious, and the extra effort they made turned a late night meal into a great experience. We’ll absolutely be ordering from them again and recommending them to others!“

My friend had the cheeseburger and it was huge and delicious. Amazing service. Knew what we wanted before we even said it. Extra sauces, more water, etc. definitely recommend.“

I was short a couple of dollars one time so I asked the woman at the window if she could hold my food and I’ll be back with the remaining $. She kindly told me to leave with the food and return when I can with the rest of the $. My sister took the money up there for me the same day because I got tied up at work. This business is a rare gem. A++“

We’ve eaten at Khon’s several times since moving to Pensacola a year and a half ago and the food and service have always been really good. Well, yesterday it was absolutely amazing! Devon was our server and she was so great. She made sure everything was perfect and never let our glasses get empty without offering more. She is such a wonderful server and so friendly. We ordered the Hot Chili Shrimp and the Cambodian Chicken and Rice. Both were cooked to perfection and so delicious. We were still enjoying ourselves and started talking to the sushi chef, Isabella. What a delightful person she is! We decided to order one of her signature rolls and it did not disappoint! We will be back for the Harbor Heat roll again and again! Both Devon and Isabella made your restaurant a fantastic experience for us yesterday. Give them a raise immediately! Khon’s on Palafox will now be one of my most recommended restaurants thanks to these great staff members you have working for you and the delicious food we ate. Kudos to the back of the house chef’s also! Didn’t get to meet them but they were on point yesterday as well.“

Unfortunately, our steaks were undercooked, and the noise level near the bar was extremely high. There appeared to be groups of friends socializing on both sides of the bar, and although they were standing only a few feet apart, they were speaking loudly enough that it made conversation at our table difficult and ambiance unpleasant. We even heard other servers talking about how loud the bar was. Despite those issues, the staff was attentive and friendly, and I'd be willing to give the restaurant another try.“

This is a fast-paced restaurant, and because it's both small and popular, there may be a wait during busy times. The building is a little older, so seating can feel somewhat tight depending on when you visit, but that has never stopped me from coming back.

As a plus-size woman, a parent, someone with high anxiety, and a mom to an autistic child, feeling comfortable in a restaurant matters a lot to me. CJ's has always felt safe, welcoming, and comfortable for my family. The staff have consistently treated us with kindness, and that keeps us coming back.

Overall, good food, good people, and a place where my family feels welcome.“
