“As someone who works at a brewery and is a BJCP participant, this brewery really stood out to me. My favorite was the American Corn Lager. The Black lager hit all the marks - roasted malt with the burnt coffee taste, but with the right amount of hops to even it out (not too thick or viscous, which is the achilles heel of most dark lagers). The Helles was outstanding, and the ESB on cask had no flaws. The Dry Irish on nitro was very mild, exactly what I look for in a stout in that category. Alga will be a stop anytime i’m in the area.“
